How can you neutralise STJ touching only de tali’s head? You could do it even if the patient didn’t have a calcaneus therefore no STJ.

The only way to measure a foot is with weight on. Standing in a neutral position

If you’re measuring the length of the foot for the purpose of a shoe fit then you’re correct. a brannock device in the weight bearing position would be appropriate. however, for the purpose of Forefoot angulation measurements a FFMD is used as demonstrated in the video. This information is used in the fabrication of a custom functional foot orthotic and bike fit cleat wedges to control excessive foot pronation.
