Hello, I'm in Thailand. and live in Bangkok And I noticed your money belongs to Thailand. Thank you brother. I just decided to buy the Ortlieb back classic and Ultimate six because of watching your videos.

Hey there. I used to live in Bangkok a while ago but now I live in Isaan :) I love the Ortlieb bag and it's never let me down. I've ridden in monsoons here and everything inside stays 100% dry. It's a great bag and I'm sure you'll love it. If you check out my channel I have a lot of videos riding in Thailand. I even have one in BKK which shows where I used to live. Take care and ride safe.

I plan to use this bag for my gravel bike with carbon bars. I ride very rough trails and am worried about the attachment to the bars. Is it strong enough for rough roads? Will it hurt the carbon bars. I didn't see a link to your video on how to install the attachment to the bars. I will check your video list. Thanks for the review! Found the answer! Not to be used on carbon bars.
@Biking3602 жыл бұрын
If you really want to use the Classic 6 you could attach a second stem (If you have space) to your steerer under the main stem. Bit clumsy tbh but it would work. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Hi! Great review! I am wondering what could I do about the strap? I love the bag but the strap is so short as you mentioned and feels a bit risky (I want to use the bag for camera equipment and it feels like the bag could fall off the strap). Any suggestions? Thank you and all best
@Biking360 Жыл бұрын
Hey there. I couldnlt agree with you more about the strap. I also have no confidence in it and find it awkward to use. I have tried fitting other straps I have from other times and pieces of equipment but nothing has really worked. Sadly, I have just given up and thrown the strap in the bottom of a drawer. That means having to carry the bag under my arm when I go into a cafe or shop. Not great by any means. This is also made worse by not having any other way to carry it. (Like a recessed carrying handle). I have met a few other tourers who have said exactly the same thing. This has therefore reminded me to write to Ortlieb and give them some feedback. You never know and I will let you know what comes of it... good or bad! Take care JP

Lol! Yeah, that's been commented on before. The bananas in bags are sold individually at convenience stores. Unfortunately, unless you want to buy a whole bunch, it's very difficult to buy bananas here. Frustrating for sure!!

The mount is solid and no problem with the mount or the top opening even when things get rough. I've used it in Monsoons and long days of rain for over 12 months and 12,000 km and it keeps everything dry.

Thanks for the review. I still need to get a handlebar bag mainly to carry a camera. Really like your little table and chairs. I assume those are tree sections with epoxy top coats? Interesting whatever they are.
@Biking3603 жыл бұрын
Those kinds of tables and chairs are very popular here. I'm afraid they're made from concrete! Thais seem to love plastic and concrete!! Oh well!!!
@hervedelnorte79283 жыл бұрын
@@Biking360 Yeah I wondered if they might be concrete. I just thought they might be too heavy to move around if they were concrete. But maybe they’re not fully solid.

I agree totally, I have the very same bag on my tourer which I use mainly as a commuter, when I commute to work, on my way I call into the Post office box area to check my mail and often have to take off my gloves (esp.in winter) just to open and close it as the sides of the lid often get caught on the sides or the strap mounting points.....oh yeah, you're right about the strap, I rarely use it. I usually leave it on at work locked to the mount or I put it in my locker at work. I'm very much an Ortlieb fan too.

Very thorough review. Wouldn't hesitate to buy an Ortleib handlebar bag. One I use is not waterproof and did not come with a cover. I use a cover from an older bag that did not fit the new handlebar. A pain when it starts to rain.

@@Biking360 I use Axiom panniers and handlebar bag. They use a material called Oceanweave which is recycled materials from discarded fishing nets collected from our oceans. @@Biking360 your pronunciation is really cute ;-) Ortlieb is German, so you do pronounce it as Ort like in Orc, just with a t of course, and lieb is much longer like in leaf 😂 But thank you for your excellent review. Because of it, I've decided against this particular bag. Firstly, I would love an external phone pocket for GPS, secondly I would want to carry it around preferably cross-body, and last but not least, it is rather expensive. Thanks once again, you helped a lot.
