"This" is Ortlieb at it's best, especially the handlebar mounting system.

On my old Ortlieb large seatpack the Velcros are completely useless and worn out now, removable and replaceable Velcro straps definitely a great idea but ideally I would expect a new attachment system from Ortlieb something like on the new handlebar bag. The current attachment system is a pain really some innovation would be great. Also I hope they replaced the fabric to be more abrasion resistant as I have couple of holes now.

Hello, I have one qestion, will this bag work with front suspension bike?I mean it will not be on the way, and stuck on the tire, and cause you to fall of the bike!Because it looks that is few cm apart of tire when is loaded...Thanks in advance

nice video, thanks! I have a question with regards to the frame top tube bag: my bike frame is just a couple of cm too small for it according to the template (just one or two); do you think I could fit it if I squeeze it lengthwise a bit, or is it fully rigid? I won't mind the volume lost like this, I just want to know if I could fit it - I have nowhere to test this, thank you!

I found your review helpful. I have a Cervelo p2. On days I want to do multiple disciplines, ride to a lake to swim then run, and then ride back. I am interested in the Ortlieb 11liter. Question 1- will the bag hold a pair of running shoes(size 12) and small towel and googles . #2 the post is wide and elongated will the bag connect on the post? Tim
@LyonCycle3 жыл бұрын
The fact that it is carbon fibre doesn't matter as the straps will compress the post very little. Most of the weight is supported by the saddle rails. However the shape of your post may mean the strap is too short to go all the way round, so I'd go visit a stocking dealer or order online so you can return it if it doesn't fit. Wether it will hold your running shoes is a difficult one to answer too - size 10's yes, but again it may be worth popping into an Ortlieb stockist to try to put your shoes in a 11L Seat-Pack.

Seriously good looking gear. I’m afraid to ask the price of it, but I need to know, as it’s my new to be backpacking gear, that’s for sure.

What's the required tire clearance to use the small handlebar bag?
@LyonCycle3 жыл бұрын
There's no official figure, but I'd look for at least 7inches / 18cm between handlebars and the top of your tyre when fully packed out. That would mean strapping directly to the bars without the foam spacers, which obviously give you a bit of real estate for hand placements. However you could compress the size of the pack down somewhat using the two compression straps

Hi everybody, do someone has an idea if the ortlieb handlebar loader (9 or 15l) fits on the Canyon grail CF SL 7? Thank you!
@LyonCycle3 жыл бұрын
I'd say the 9L one may be OK but you would probably have to loop the stabliser strap around the headtube rather than the stem. Just make sure you tape up the frame first!
