Awesome statement about going to your local hi-fi shop. I dislike ordering items from internet,& I respect your statement about getting someone to put the Blue on your turntable arm. Good day

Congrats on your new cart. Give your new cartridge time to break in and and then listen to how it sounds. 20-25 hours is how long it should take. Check with the manufacturer.

i had a black metal band in the 80´s ,i was not enjoying the vocal parts from a lot of bands so i made myself a nice microphone and metal it is, allthough i played guitar, have you listened to morbid tales, emperor´s return and to megatherion from celtic frost (this last with other vocals)or sodom, faithfull warning and sacred reich, diferent styles but nice compared to other 80´s bands with high pitch voice, i was a dj so i made a lot of samplers with manowar vocals, that was incredible bad, i think the first time i played guyana, all my teeth shattered. As helloween that had a nice e.p´s walls of jericho and Judas then all went down

Congrats! I have a Luxman PD264 minimalistic vintage turntable and the exact same cartridge than yours. Before that the turntable did have some vintage black Ortofon MM cartridge ( discontinued ) and the difference between the two cartridges has been huge! Meaning, there is a certain level of quality where from any records will open up and sound fantastic. Just noticing though, that somehow there should be a healthy balance between music and sound, so as a musician I cannot see the point chasing the most expensive gear and their sound while you never listen ( and able to enjoy ) the actual music. Of course it is all about individual choice ( and of course: pocket ) , but I don't want to pay to0oo big attention, spend uncountable time and cash on sound, while I may not enjoy allow myself to enjoy the music itself. Just an opinion. 🤭 Meanwhile of course I am curious and product comparisons are interesting and reasonable, still the first point is my main point. Thanks and enjoy listening music!

it´s true the same happened to me, lot´s of sounds that only by listening looking for it ,i would say "it´s there"with a good cartridge , amplifier and speakers, all is heard, if not a good amplifier use tone controls and loudness,if not good speakers buy a equalizer about studio sound or meant to be heard like this, it´s all fake , i own a very good studio ,started by my father in 1970 and has been improved since then and that is totally a lie, first if listening to cd´s the sound in the cd is maybe 40% of the studio production and in vinil it could be a lot higher, depending on the gear, i use digital tools since the 70´s and i have a digital recorder since the 80´s but in analog one can go far, in the 90´s all good rock bands or bands that play with guitars and drums including voice all were recorded in analogue, Sting doesn´t count, but the Police albuns does count, even the dream of the blue turtles and the live doble lp bring on the night played live or the OST from the movie with mel gibson and.... "it´s probably me"sting and eric clapton with Zippo lighter making the percussion rythm not the other version

Why didn’t you go for the ortafon black mm cart

Would have actually went for the MC Bronze but the non-adjustable VTA on my table at the time would have been iffy for the cart, same with the black series

the pickering was ok , but find a stylus today, i bought two for two of my old turntables, the cadenza black and the quintect black s(black ass, funny)from Ortofon, a brand that before one call it quality without a doubt but today they sell a lot of garbage and a 1/5 of the hours of listening
