Orvieto is amazing. There is another piazza about 5min NW of the duomo that is an even cooler drink spot. Thanks for the video!

That has to be the biggest and most beautiful church I have ever seen. Too bad you ran out of time to see more. Italy is beautiful and haven’t been there since I was Rosalie’s age. Those alleys look like a movie scene. Thanks for taking us around.

Loved this town and you can walk through the charming little town and down the hill and through a little bit of woods on a path and come out across from where the tour buses stop

The tour of the caves where pigeons were raised for emergency food stores was fascinating. My Italian grandfather would kill pigeons for food.

@@SwiftyTravels Excelente. Thank you. Been to Italy twice but never been to Florence or Orvieto. On my list. Sardinia and abruzzo look nice too
@FilippoCardoni Жыл бұрын
@@Mongoose-ct6us Florence is one of a kind thing but it's obviously much more touristy. I visited Siena only once so I can't vouch for it but it wasn't bad. However, I live in a small city 45 minutes by car from Orvieto, called Todi. I would really recommend visiting Todi as well, it's smaller and has some accessibility problems (meaning, it's hard to find a parking lot that isn't full or free.. and it's on top of a hill, so you either use the public trasportation systems or go by foot) but it's characteristic, medieval, "authentic" italian vibe, amazing food. The city centre is small so you can visit most of the stuff in less than a full day but there are many other small things to see around especially if you have a car. So if you come by Orvieto, try to have a small step in Todi as well. Between Orvieto and Perugia I don't really know... surely Perugia is more known. I think they are equal but maybe Orvieto has a nicer aesthetic. I would also mention Spoleto, another pretty beautiful city on a hill, not too far from Orvieto... or if you decide to stop by Todi you could also reach Monte castello di vibio, these two you can visit in half a day :)

You guys should also check out my hometown, Todi! 45 minutes by car from Orvieto, not as big or accessible as Orvieto but it's definitely characteristic, almost entirely medieval, and on top of a hill as well.
