I absolutely use a bladder for long hunts with the dogs. Orvis not having that option on a $300 vest, I'll pass. Thank you for the review.

@@mrpoky208 I ran it through the paces, and it was a lot lighter, more minimalistic on storage space, but has the moveable pockets. Not a bad vest if you don’t need to carry as much as I do. I don’t think that many people use the water bladder anymore, wish I knew this was coming out before I just bought a different one. I had the previous model but I was struggling with mounting the gun on the thicker straps, other then that I really liked the vest

What are they doing for water if they don’t use a water bladder? I usually run both my pups and early season hunts can be rough keeping up with water demands. What did you replace the old Orvis with?

@@stevederr8244 I use water bottles for dogs and me. I hunt grouse and woodcock most of the time so might only be away from the truck an hour or so at a time. I went with Pykes vest , I like the molle system so you can move things around

The benefit of a water bladder is higher capacity (running 2+ dogs) and always a balanced load. We run a 3L bladder and on hot days will easily go through that multiple times.

@@UltimateUpland I watched your review which you have valid points , so far I would say I like it but I really don’t like the shell pockets and will probably look for something else to replace the pockets , other then that I like it
