I had a question and thought I might get an answer here :) I just ordered a Savage 110 LA Chassis and it shipped in just 1 day! Excited to get my build going.. However I was looking to use an EABCO Accuracy Recoil lug and just wanted to make sure the Chassis has clearance for it? I assume with the Lug play seen in this video, that the slightly oversized Lug will most certainly fit..?

We do have an oversize pocket for recoil lugs and try to accommodate as many options as possible

@@OryxChassis That is good to know. I just ordered an Oryx for my TC Compass II. I watch a vid of guy putting one in an Oryx and he mentioned transplanting the removable lug from the factory stock. And, to have just enough clearance to catch, it might be necessary to shim the lug with a narrow piece of duct tape, like a baby booster seat, if you will. Genius idea. I already like the MDT LSS Gen 2 I use for my Mossberg Patriot .308 Win. Now I call that one an MDT Patriot.

How does the Oryx chassis address the difference between the Savage Accustock recoil lug versus the Savage Non-Accustock recoil lug? I would like to try this Oryx chassis for my Savage 16FCSS Weather Warrior in 338 Federal cartridge which has a Accustock recoil lug and bottom bolt release.

There is no real difference; they all fit the same. It will work with your rifle without issue.

Does this chassis fit on the 111 as well? On the LSS chassis, it lists compatibility with 110, 111, 112, and 116. But the oryx page only lists compatibility with the 110 LA. They've gotta be compatible if the LSS fits both/all, right?

Yes, the Savage LA chassis will fit the Savage 111 as well.

@@MDTTAC That's no problem though, since people are willing to pay extra for it. You sell sling swivel studs and cheek riser knobs separately. No problem setting other things separately too. The Oryx could be bare-bones, and buildable to a flagship level chassis as time goes on.

Nice chassis! I would buy one but my savage 110 has the bolt release on the bottom of the rifle at the front of the trigger guard. This chassis system doesn't appear to be compatible with my rifle.

Your rifle will fit in the Oryx chassis in the Savage SA inlet and use SKU 106263.The 103642 is our Long action inlet.

There is a slot milled on the right-hand side above the trigger guard which allows the bottom bolt release to be reached with a tool.

As long as your rifle is meant to accept AICS pattern magazines, then they will work. If not, once installed in our chassis, it will convert your rifle to AICS pattern magazines.
