When you mentioned a Wrath of Khan quote I was thinking “time...is a luxury you do not have” lol. Anyways, nice run Dave. My only experience is with an OS 61SF-P. Runs slightly different but great engine.

If is brand new, the engine needs a good breaking procedure, at least two full tanks, big four stroke engines needs at least 10% nitro to run properly and stable at low rpm, I have a O.S. FS-200S pumped that is a beast, run 20x8 propeller at 7.500rpm, 12% nitro.

Funny because that is not what the manual states for break in period. 2:34. But what would I know? I have never broken in a new engine before....

@@dmrcflyr2 The breaking procedure is similar that other glow engines, the manual in this case is not too clear, check valves gap, run the engine with 10% nitro and do it a good breaking procedure like a other glow engine. That spinner break has been very strange, I never saw anything like it ...

i went thru something like that breaking my magnum, fs180 , with carb settings. it ended up being a nice running motor. thinking about selling off my magnum motors.

Perfect day for an engine run! Is there anything that says it needs to be primed or purged of air? Btw you can hear some detonation from 5m30s but that was after the plastic spinner started disintegrating. Maybe pumped engines need to be coaxed a little more gently with the needle? Not sure myself... Looking forward to round 2!

Look at 5:20, there is when the spinner was broken.

Yeah, I tried to slow it down and show it but it was just too fast for my editing software to catch. I certainly saw it when it happened!
