Love this series, please keep more diff info coming. Would love to hear how it compares to Wavetrac and Nismo. I have a Nismo, but I’m looking for a more dual purpose diff that doesn’t make a bunch of noise around town.

Thanks for the new OS Giken fluid. It was time for a change. I really enjoy this diff. It is awesome. It has very little negatives for street use. Yes, I bought my diff from them and had it installed at their shop. Easy peasy.

What would be the best recommended OS Giken configuration for a 550-600whp street car with the occasional mountain driving? #FMY

Off the shelf the OS Giken is a very smooth diff. Mate that to a 3.9 gear in a manual trans car and it'll be perfect all around.

Can you rank them all going from most streetable to most road course oriented to most drag oriented. Just so we can get an idea?

Honestly, that can be difficult to rank because of the characteristics of each diff. They're all very streetable, but it depends on what 'characteristics' you look for in a streetable diff, and how you drive the car (Mountain roads, commuting, etc.) Generally speaking, what most prefer to use for street use only is a helical style like the Quaife or Wavetrac because they offer great value with minimal compromise in regards to noise or chatter from at low speed. As far as performance environments, we generally opt for a clutch type like the NISMO GT, OS Giken, or Tomei. These are great all around differentials, although they do tend to 'pop' or chatter at low speed from axle bind. Check out the NISMO GT video we just added, this may help you better understand.
