I'd love to order both Ronda and Adam's engines and have him do the break in service. So awesome 👌

Just started running nitro, learning curve. One reds done, carb came lose lesson learned. O.s old xyb Facebook special, had a hole in carb boot fixed Got 2 gals or just a little more. Had huge power, front bearing went. But had major wear on crank O.s v2 max (broke in myself) 1.5 gal in it. Been on the shelf since the motor above, about to start using again. But worried might get a track mate to do my bearings. I am worried about getting my 3rd new nitro. And was about to get a ad2 from my local shop in nz. I'm worried I'm causing the damage. Dirt killed motor 1 my fault learning never using reds again. A few beers in. I had been wondering using a heater blanket. Perhaps I'm struggling to get to temp and causing early wear. Lol just venting.

Great vids, Adam. Got ad2, with 6mm i get extra punch at around 40-60% throttle. Not smooth, where should i look at? Rich bottom? Mid needle is at 0.1mm. Thanks
@AdamDrake3 жыл бұрын
Maybe try setting the mid a little richer or make a clutch adjustment. Also go with a 75mm manifold if you're not already using that.
@505Lights Жыл бұрын
When setting the idle gap, you remove the venturi set the gap to .5mm then put the venturi back in?
@AdamDrake Жыл бұрын
Yes sir.

hi adam nice vids again quick question for u on the head button there is like a punch dot mark does this matter where this faces like towards the pipe port or carb or on right or left side many thanks
@AdamDrake3 жыл бұрын
Yes, the should be toward the rear / exhaust port of the engine.

What Ventura do you use with those settings? Does the ventureri change those settings much?
@AdamDrake3 жыл бұрын
6.5mm with buggy and 7mm with truck. These are just baseline settings to get you in the ballpark. They can vary some depending on the fuel, vehicle, elevation, ect..

Is it for 25% or 30% nitro?
@ashermorales82763 жыл бұрын
I believe it’s for 30%
@nednerb65203 жыл бұрын
You can run either fuel, I believe with 25% you remove a head shim.
@AdamDrake3 жыл бұрын
This is for 30% nitro, but the settings will be pretty close with 25% as well.

I have that motor ran and broke it in all the way. Set it to these settings. Now motor won’t even run tried rich tried lean still nothing.
@AdamDrake3 жыл бұрын
Maybe you have a bad plug if the engine won't start.
