@adamdrake you didn’t mention how many tanks to run it rich before you can lean it back out.

It's probably about that time of year where a lot of racers are gonna start sending you stuff to service during their off-season... great timing for this video. I know that is something on my mind lately. Time to decide what needs what for service... Can you tell me ballpark what the rod costs for an OS engine, like your AD3 , or others like the OS based FP02 engines? I'm thinking at least one of ours may be coming to you for measurements and likely a rod...the others have a bit less time on them. I'll be in touch soon . Thanks for the videos and for all that you do. Cheers

How's it going! O.S. connecting rods are $45. Thanks!

When you are tuning a motor, are you only looking at the current draw to determine timing? Is there a specific current you are looking for? Is it always 6.4 or .5?

Fastest engine I ever drove was a pinched os vz I think it’s because the engine bearings etc are nicely worn in and free running then you get a nice tight bang from the gas .

Which brand lockwashers do you recommend? For going under the heads of the motor screws. SPlit or OS.

Since you mentioned the small width and camber change, it made me realize that there’s also a wheelbase change happening. Do you move the hub fwd/back in the arm to compensate?

I drive now standard hub carbon plates and set the link in the outer hole in the wheels. With the +3 hubs you have "longer" link, so buggy is easyer to drive? I drive astro track

D-block middle down C-block down and in would give you 3.25 degrees of toe. In the video you state that would be 2.75 degrees. Am I missing something?

Excellent video Adam, i imagine that the negative expo thtottle can help protect the slipper clutch in electrics as you go too aggressive on the start, right?

were you using the Tekno style washer to secure the clutch bell? Tekno has a washer with a flange almost on the end, seemed to take alot of washers (6) or so to remove play

Hi Adam, I am new to nitro racing and I am trying to learn about everything still and your videos are super 👍I was wondering something, in snowmobile clutches it’s the combination of the weight of the shoes and the spring tension that govern when the clutch engages, is this true for these clutches too? My friend got a used nitro buggy and the clutch has 2 aluminum shoes and 2 composite shoes on it and all the shoes have the same springs. Is it ok to use the same springs on both the 2 types of shoes at the same time? I feel like the aluminum shoes probably weigh more than the composite shoes so to me that tells me that with all the same springs, the aluminum shoes will engage first before the composite shoes totally defeating the purpose of the composite shoes

I have the Drake tuning screwdriver with the light and it's awesome. Showed it to my buddy at the track during night practice and he immediately got his phone out and bought one too. The light's even convenient for fueling up when it's tough to see the level in the tank.
