It's truly inspiring to see how the Oscar-nominated director of "Nǎi Nai & Wài Pó" focuses on choosing joy in their work. This approach not only enriches the storytelling but also deeply resonates with audiences, creating a memorable and impactful experience. Their ability to weave joy through the narrative, even in moments that might also reflect the complexities of life, highlights a powerful message about the importance of perspective and the choice we all have in focusing on the positive. It's a beautiful reminder that, regardless of the circumstances, finding and embracing joy can lead to profound and transformative experiences both on and off the screen. What an incredible journey it must be to create such meaningful art that encourages us all to see the beauty in life and to choose joy whenever we can.

Too bad it lost the Oscar. I hope more documentaries in Chinese get Oscar nominated and win. Especially in Documentary Feature

It sure was. Even though The Zone Of Interest was mediocre. The other nominees looked good too

0:03 although there are a huge number of people in America originally from Korea or China with the last name of "Wang", it is always pronounced as WONG. Wong means 'king' in both Korean and Chinese.
