Both sublime musicians, I count it amongst one of my most incredible live music experiences, witnessing Oscar Peterson play live in Liverpool in 2006. He was old and frail, requiring assistance on stage by band members. But when he played everything came alive, even though I was only 10 at the time it was clear to me that I was in the presence of a special artist. Would you believe that on the same day England was playing Portugal in the World Cup and as a result a good portion of the audience was not in attendance which meant we were able to get much better seats than the ones we had paid for. Sad that people prioritised football but lucky for me and my dad to hear such a great musician in what was one of his last concerts in the UK.

However, the parallel is here, there is nothing better than Jazz-Bach. Innovation and intuition are what Bach's music is and Jazz is as well. There only exist good music and bad music.
