I've seen 'MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM.' I love Viola Davis, but in my opinion, I don't see her performance being Oscar worthy. If so, she should be in the Best Supporting Actress category! You're wrong. It's an original screenplay, meaning it is NOT adapted from a book or play or something previously published. Just because it's based on a true story doesn't mean the screenplay was adapted from a previously published source.
