Being the bigger man concluded with choosing to not go on a flying rage and wanting to charge off of the stage to hit him back , and showing restraint by not saying anything to truly drag him and his family further at that moment. There's a difference between being the bigger person vs letting someone get away with tyranny. As an adult or a person with class, there's a number of proper ways to go about situations like that without necessarily sinking to the offender's level or tarnishing your own reputation. Will Smith didn't apologize directly to Chris Rock publicly or show any true remorse for his actions. By Chris letting him get away with this he makes it impossible to respect the way that he handled the situation.
