It's very disturbing how she deliberately chose not to even acknowledge or thank Sarah Lane, who danced the difficult parts as her double and her face CGId on top of. Acknowledging the help of a professional Ballerina would not in any way have detracted from her own hard work and the praise she earned. Not cool

Her performance was definitely Oscar worthy. The Academy already confronted the rumours - you are late - they voted for her as the winner because of her acting, dedication and transformation. NOT because of her pointe skills. You should do some research before judging the decisions made by the Academy. It was also very obvious that no one expected Natalie to do ballet at such an advanced level. If you think the voters based their vote on that, you clearly do not know how the Academy works.
@clarenceparents49456 жыл бұрын
Your logic is flawed. The dancer danced. Natalie acted. Oscars are granted for acting NOT for dancing. She deserved the Oscar. The double agreed too. Majority of her scenes were not ballet/pointe related. Her acting abilities during those scenes were outstanding. That is why she received an Oscar. Absolutely well deserved. I do not believe you understand the purpose of an Oscar-and the difference between dance and drama.
@clarenceparents49456 жыл бұрын
It's like you intentionally ignore what I say. The ballet dancer definitely did NOT deserve the Oscar. Most people would disagree with you and your logic. Natalie Portman portrayed her character flawlessly and her Oscar is well-deserved. I think you fail to understand the difference between an actress and a ballet dancer and you also fail to understand when I say that majority of the scenes in Black Swan did not include scenes involving ballet. She won it for her role and her portrayal of the character Nina.

Deserved Oscar. And I'm really sick of the people arguing if she danced everything herself. Probably she danced everything but for some scenes they took the records of her double. I mean, who can expect that someone become a professional dancer in one year? And by the way, I actually never looked at her body when I watched Black Swan for the first time. I looked at her face. And her facial expression made her deserve that Oscar. One of the best performances of the 2000s.
