I'm curious how they'll pay tribute to Quincy Jones. It's sad that the board of governors don't give these to the veterans earlier before it's too late. 😞

He is one of a rare group of people to get an Honorary award posthumously. I know Audrey Hepburn received the Jean Hersholt award posthumously and Edward G. Robinson also got the Honorary posthumously as well. Like Quincy, both of them were alive at the time of the announcement but died before the ceremony. I believe Douglas Fairbanks also got an Honorary Oscar posthumously as well.

@@axr7149 Yeah, it's truly sad he passed away before he got his flowers but he did receive a Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award back in 1995 so I'm glad he was very appreciated by the Academy.

@@gabr4ms I know, we don't even get to see the montages of the honorees that they show during the ceremony. I wish that ABC would broadcast these awards the same way they do for Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People. I'm sure a lot would watch it.
