What I love about Cillian is he is so shy. He hates the spotlight yet loves what he does. He puts his whole being into everything he works on and it shows. Yet he is incredibly humble.

Although his affect is common among very introverted people, I would argue that his type of introversion is rather rare, but perhaps not as rare among the great people we often celebrate. Paul Giammati in The Holdovers was my pick to win, but my respect goes to Cillian Murphy for his outstanding performance in Oppenheimer.

I would have been so happy to see Giamatti win, but I'm just as happy for Cillian. Both just wonderful, wonderful performances.

i was rooting for Giamatti as well, but seeing Paul's reaction of joy when Cillian won make me ok with his loss. I haven't seen Oppenheimer (yet), but i look forward to it.

Cillian Murphy did amazing as Oppenheimer; he is now part of the list of Best Actor winners. He is also the 2nd villain from the Nolan’s Batman trilogy to win an Oscar.

To see Brendan Fraser all the way back as a leading man is enough for me in this clip ❤
@mytv896269 ай бұрын
A leading man? Where? I hope you don't mean that disgusting thing last year. Leading men have leading ladies and Fraser hasn't had one for over a decade (onscreen or off). Paid escorts don't count.

So well deserved! He's always so humble. And this might seem like a small thing, but I think it's lovely he took the time to shake hands with every man on stage.

It’s funny, for me, the first thing I ever saw him in was “Fear the Walking Dead,” which has had such up-and-down writing and overall inconsistent quality throughout its run, but it always felt like “that dude,” whose name I admittedly didn’t even know for many seasons, seemed like he was on a different level than everybody else. Like how an elite high school athlete just looks like they’re playing a different game than everybody else, he stole basically every scene he was in, even when often given some pretty mediocre lines to deliver. It’s awesome to see him having come so far to now being introduced by Forest Whitaker and recognized alongside so many legends of the profession.
