Your ability to explain and unpack things is why you're one of the best educators in musictube. Big ups.

Now Oscar is going deep. Cross modulation, layering and enrichment go as FX and the workflow is a never ending loop. You can resample, reloop, microedit rearrange and start again. MultiFx are best but you dont need any weird vst, just stack fx on top of each other, using random Lfo's attached to parameters gives you a bigger sound palette to resample from. It will get a point where everything is glitchy, keep going, its nice past that point. Good diving

❤Wow! I dislike distortion with a passion and when you started playing with it I thought "I'm out of here!"😂 I am SO glad I waited. When you started layering, adding delay and putting the movement in, a sense appeared that I could understand. You had developed massive energy, resolved it into something that I could understand as dynamic music with a flow and drama and retained that punchy drive. Brilliant. I think the cutting room floor has probably got the bits where you were actually drew in the notes instead of telling us you did.🤩

You make it seem more plausible how you’ve described how to do this. Thanks for creating this tutorial. Love the cheerful vibes!

To quickly change the classic drummachine sounds like in the first technique u can also use the drummachine selector kit. I think that way it's even a little more flexible. Love your tutorials :D

Thanks for sharing. I think this workflow makes it really fun and its keeps you moving forward and get to the arrangment part pretty quickly. Getting some oldskool 2000's techno vibes from this, love it! Going to give this a try!

This is really great! I always get stuck being way too intentional and forget my punk style roots of creating techno like this. This method also directly applies to breakcore as well, which is awesome. Thank you so much for this video. Now off to write some tunes. :)

That actually was fun. And the most important thing I learned was the 2 beats thing ... I usually end up with 4 or 8 bars and then I do melodies because there's so much room and all of a sudden, it sounds like some pop song (haha, I wish!), not like minimal, brute force techno.

Also too some distortion vsts sound great on hats BUT you have to have a kick drum mimicking the same pattern to get that distortion fizzle. Just low pass the kick out. Great trick too. Also playbeat 3 is a sick sick drum machine.

You know too that Convo reverb before amp is pretty nasty stuff. Just move the room size and decay for some nasty ass distortion. Pretty dope. Hey also this is a great video! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

First liking then watching ❤ thank you for listening to us!! Not sure if you saw my comment on the 2nd latest video, but with CDWs creation of a label dedicated to Bonzai records, it would be cool to see something related to that old school style. Again, thank you Oscar

Hey, Great Tutorial as always. Just wondering: are you tuning your drum samples to the key? Or at least to a note in the scale? Or you think you don’t need that for your drum sounds? Really wondering what’s your opinion on that :) Cheers!
