Love the review man, I’m actually getting the OSD Nero HTA5200 for my setup, it’s good to see the stamp of approval by one of the people I look up to on KZbin! Keep doing your thing bro proud of you!

A few months ago I wanted to finally dip into separates so I got two of the XA5180 and one HTD-8150 in combination with an AVM70 processor powering a 9.1.6 setup. So far I have no complains.

Awesome! I hope they make an HTA6200 that’s also able to be bridged, as that would be perfect for LCR speakers with each one getting 300 watts.

I thought the new rules proposed would force companies to give the worsr case rating for amps at the total distortion levels. Would be good if that passes.
@theparkbopperАй бұрын
I know distortion is high on this amplifier but at lower volume is it noisy? subjectively it looks great 160,000 µF of capacitance a toroidal transformer in Bridged operation. This may be a great audiophile value. Have you ran this two channel with your R 11’s?
@KpaceguyАй бұрын
@theparkbopper I have. There's literally no noise for me BUT I've also taken other measures to make sure there isn't either

@ cool I’m thinking about using it in my two channel set up. Do you think it has any character of sound neutral warm thin? Thanks for your quick response and happy Thanksgiving.

My Emotiva XPA 7 channel just died after 10 years . My Basx 5 channel is powering the atmos . Debating whether to send the XPA in for repair or just get 2 OSD 7 channel amps to go with my Anthem 70 for both floor speakers and atmos.

I’ve had the 5200 and 7200 added to my cart for awhile now! They really LOOK like they could be awesome!! The power seems legit with that huge power supply. Curious on the noise floor and distortion levels in real world. There is a promo code also for these amps that gets you all 12 channels for like $1700!! 🎉. The 4 channel would be awesome for ANYONE with 4 night channels… or, i like the idea of bridging the 4 channel for the LR, or even BiAmping the LR channels if you have Big fronts. 🎉 Please do some sound reviews if possible. Also, please please test their new FS12/FS15 subwoofers! I think they could be a “best buy” so long as those ports don’t chuff like crazy! 🎉

Picked up Anthem avm 70 and a osd hta7200. Going to calibrate with arc genesis but cpu a little further away so I’ll need to order a 20ft usb c cable for the mic vs the 10ft it comes with. Do you think that will be an issue? Also with OSD amp I’m noticing a high pitch sound coming from the amp. It’s hard to hear but when it’s completely quiet in the house I can hear it. Any idea why this may be?
@Kpaceguy2 ай бұрын
Hiss could be because your power cables are too close to your RCAs and speaker wires. So try separating them. Also, XLR cables may remove it too.
@reese3732 ай бұрын
@ thanks. I’m actually using xlr. They are close to the power cable so I’ll try moving those
@reese3732 ай бұрын
Also just to clarify the sound isn’t coming from speakers. It’s coming from amp. It’s similar to the homelander theater scene if you’ve watched the boys just not as loud. It’s faint but it’s there.

Hi Kpace, you are the only person who can help me with this problem, I'm from Trinidad in the Caribbean, and the problem is I have the Polk Reserve R700, I was setting up the speakers with Audyesse and it looks like the speakers are wired out of phase, I also tested the speakers with a nine-volt battery + to + and - to - and the woofers pull in showing it is out of phase, how can I overcome this problem? Do you know if this is normal?.
@MrBonger882 ай бұрын
If your speakers are truly wired out of phase you should be able to correct it by running positive speaker wire to negative speaker terminal and negative wire to positive terminal

Don't know how to solve this but I've seen other people having this problem on the home theater sub reddit.

I like the new amplifier, but don't like the shady power rating they used. Most expensive amps will tell you their 8 ohm rating first not the four ohm. Deceptive. I do like that you can turn it into a two or three channel amp too.
@Kpaceguy2 ай бұрын
I agree
@ryanschipp85132 ай бұрын
They also do not list the power ratings at full bandwidth..........20hz to 20khz. To me that is even more bush league than the 8 ohm and 4 ohm ratings....so double shady in my book.
@uceddiemoАй бұрын
The key word is Most Expensive, these amps are relatively cheap compared to other amps with similar specs, I have the OSD 5180 for a few years now and never had issues with it, I paid around $400.00 with a promo they had at the time, I recommend it for starting out with separates and the budget conscience

Got to say i have never heard of this. I have a pioneer avr which has the 12v trigger. I am not clued up on exactly how to use it. I was considering trying to link up to my sony avr. But not entirely sure about the sony's compatibility with this 12v trigger. I know nothing about it :) will need to look into it. I noticed you called this an amplifier so its not an actual av receiver, purely an amp. Btw noticed all the hats. I am exact same except they are all baseball caps. I gone mad with baseball caps so much so i had to buy a stand for them 😂 but noticed you are a baseball cap guy too. Sorry off subject :). But i am genuinely interested about this 12v trigger thing.
@KpaceguyАй бұрын
Its just a 3.5mm plug that you plug from your AV receiver to your other amps so that when the receiver turns on or off, the amplifiers turn on and off with It. That way you don't have to rely on a signal to turn them on and they turn off immediately instead of over the course of 10-15 minutes
@bingobaz6402Ай бұрын
@Kpaceguy thanks I checked i can use my pioneer as a trigger but I can't use my sony as the trigger and can use for main...this is a bit different from what you are talking about in your video. I wonder what would happen with the volume. I mean would they link up so I would have one volume control or would it be 2 separate volumes, any idea? I ordered the cable. I want to have my mains as bi amp and still use the 4 atmos channels, I am thinking this may be the solution this 12v trigger.
