I am an Igbo learner. I was looking for the english name of alligator pepper. They gave the plant to me, when I was visiting our family friends. Very interesting! There are so many plants that are not commonly known in Europe! So ehuru is calabash nutmeg in english, wow! So interesting!

Well Done, Flo and thank you for always mesmerizing us with your captivating recipes. So tell me pls, alligator pepper is never being added to the spicy peanut butter? We have been deceived all along (lol). We were meant to understand that the main spicey ingredient in the peanut butter is the alligator pepper. Now I know where the confusion emanated from! ....And yes, talking about other uses of the spicy peanut butter here where I am we also use peanut butter to make (stand-alone) Soups, as groundnut soups. or vegetable soups such as Moringa (Zogale), surreal (Yakuwa) or jute (Ramá).

@FloChinyere
@FloChinyere 4 жыл бұрын
😂😂😂 We don't use grinding stone in Igboland o, not even in the olden days, never. We are a mortar and pestle tribe. In the 80s up to recently, we used the manual grinders for this. But these days, these machines give a smoother consistency, we no longer use the manual grinders not to talk of mortar and pestle.

None. Peanuts/groundnuts already contain too much oil. Once the machine grinds it well, it will turn to a smooth paste. The more times it passed through the engine, the more liquid it becomes.
