Sorry to hear of your loss. It is much as my parents, Dad passed away in his sleep. Hope you can have your mourning time and rebloom as my mother did and enjoy life once again. She lived twenty five more years and really enjoyed herself till her death. Dad remained in her thoughts till the end, but those memories were the warm fuzzy type that carried her on. I hope you are equally blessed.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my husband back in 2006 due to a heart condition we didn’t know about. I was asleep right beside him. It was the hardest thing I have ever been through. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

@@OSGCourtWatch you are right, it’s super depressing to watch 16 year olds be accused of murder and armed robbery and hard core stuff like that. It’s because I got a chance to see it and be immersed in it that makes me want to do something. I’m seriously considering becoming a probation officer and eventually end up being a PO for the juvenile court. I know I can’t “save” them or anything but kids naturally gravitate towards me and I think a lot of these kids are just missing a positive person in their life. If they were well balanced and had a normal home life, they wouldn’t be out doing the stuff they do. If you can form some sort of bond with them they can finally feel like someone gives a damn about them and I feel like that would at least help them.

I’m amazed at the number of people who show up in Judge Simpson’s court who aren’t sensible enough to just keep their mouth shut. They have an attorney but are too dense to have their attorney handle their case. If you show up in Judge Simpson’s court, keep your mouth shut!!

I love this Judge. He has compassion and a sense of humor. If I ever need a judge I will make sure I am wherever he is and ask for him. I have never needed a judge and since I am old now I don't think I will but you never know and he is the best! I would at least like to shake his hand.

It's amazing how smooth and simple most of these cases are when defendants let their lawyer talk and follow their probation. Sometimes a defendant might have a bond violation(s), but they take responsibility for their actions and accept whatever consequences come from that. I just don't understand why some people (sovcitiods or American nationals or whatever stupid name they've come up with) make these court proceedings so difficult.

His face changes so much, e.g., when he's making a serious denouncement, when he's laughing and interacting with the attorneys or parties in a case, and, every now and then, you can see his revulsion of an existing matter. They hand out those medical marijuana cards like candy. All you have to do is tell them you have “extreme stress”and they’ll give you one. I don’t see the point of even testing for marijuana these days. These people will just go get a card and just legally get high.

Drug cases bother me, especially marijuana being involved. They still go by 30 days like it is still only 7 to 13% THC instead of the 90 some percent that it is now. Currently, it can take 90 days easy, especially if any type of high BMI.

Judge Simpson is fantastic. There are quite a few good Judges on KZbin. Judge James Arth out of Travis County is a great Judge as well. He does the Family Dockett I watch him every morning. Very Fair, and Everything you could want in that type of Judge. Especially given the circumstances.
