It's only in the last 13 years or so, that dating has become more problematic. Before that, if you were a guy that was just average across the board, you had some good options. And if you were a brother that was above average, dating here was like being in an all you can steak, lobster and crab buffet. But not now. The mass influx of people from other urban areas has played a part in this change. But the biggest impact in my opinion has been...Social media! It has made chicks who look average or below, feel like they're entitled to a man who has put in the work to look good, be a successful human being that is financially and emotionally stable. Being in/from houston (SW) it's MANY decent males in the city, it goes the same for some females that move to the city. My ex moved here from philly in 2021 and she was very social being a Delta so she was either going to events or traveling abroad or domestic often. She said she wanted a relationship/marriage with a child being 36 but i couldn't really take her too seriously down the line and had a feeling i was being played so it ended after about 6 months of dating and 2 in relationship.
