+Yannemal Both said they wish they would be stronger human beings so they could go on with their channel. I think they are wrong, it requires a strong person to leave a nice social interaction in order to fulfill a more important commitment. You never want to destroy something nice that took you so long to build, but when you do so, it's always better when you do it for the right reason. I like them now even more since they have the same view on children as I do, cool people.

Hi, I am not Texan in Tokyo but I was a student living in Japan. In my University, we had quite a bit of Germans actually! It is very possible I think! It just depends what you plan on doing- if it is studying then as a couple it shouldn't be hard it just depends on you two and what you two want. Working may be a bit difficult because you aren't so sure where you will go or be placed depending on what you do. Good luck!

I can't believe so many other people are still commenting on this video even five years later. I think this is one of those cases where KZbin needs to follow Facebook's lead by changing the thumb ratings from the binary up/down choices into "Like, Love, Haha, Sad, Angry, Hate, etc." They would still be able to use such ratings to create suggestions and stuff, but we wouldn't be forced to choose Like to mean "I approve of your decision" when it could also mean "I'm glad you're leaving, idiots" or to choose Dislike to mean "I understand but it's sad" when it could also mean "I don't approve of your decision".

I think you are making the right choice. I've watched enough vlogger families to realize there's probably a lot of stress and chaos associated with vlogging. Somewhat related to that is that some of those kids get bullied at school for being 'famous', which is why more than a few switch to home schooling. Also you can't do it all, vlogging and editing takes time which can only shortchange the kids of their time with parents. Take care, I am sure you will enjoy the new direction you have chosen.

@BoogerLeader8 жыл бұрын
I disagree. I think this is a bad decision. They're quitting KZbin, where you make your own schedule and have tons of free time to spend with your family to get real jobs. In these jobs they can't make their own schedules and they won't have much free time for their child.
@InfernosReaper8 жыл бұрын
He already has a real job, though.... Since you appear to be unfamiliar with this channel or its content, many of the videos involve going places & doing stuff. It is harder to do with children, especially if you don't want to put your children out there on the internet, and pretty much impossible to do during the first few years of the child's life. Maybe if they had a million subscribers, I'd see your point about trying to make it work despite the personal issues involved, but they don't & if they've saved enough money over the times they've spent doing this, then there really isn't a problem financially.
@BoogerLeader8 жыл бұрын
InfernosReaper OK, maybe I missed something, but didn't he quit his full time job because of KZbin? As for the channel's content, once again, it isn't difficult. Any parent that claims they have to stop their entire life because they're having a child has missed a very important fact of life. Changes? Yes, but a complete stop? No. If you truly love doing something you're not going to give it up, you'll always make room for it and there's room for more in one's life than a child. They aren't the first family to have a child on KZbin, many most don't even know about because they don't openly share it. It really isn't that difficult. It's more difficult than someone that doesn't have a child, but nowhere near impossible. Also, saving money never works when you have a child. Expenses pop up from every direction, there's no way to prepare. Unless you have millions, it won't work. A child is a massive expense, plus your own expenses, and there will always be surprise expenses. I wonder how all these celebrities have children, many even working through their pregnancy. It must be magic. Heck, if you don't want to go that far, you can always go check out other KZbinrs. Mind you, I don't care what they decide, I just think their reasoning is lacking, if it's even honest.
@123mintjelly8 жыл бұрын

In this day and age it is really a mark of consideration and respect to allow your kids a childhood and wait for their ability to consent to being shown to others online. The parts of you that people fell in love with here on KZbin are the same parts motivating this decision. It would be hypocritical for people to want you to deny your nature in order to keep you for themselves here. This is very strong and admirable and I wish you the best of luck.

B Randell it means they will start a family and it's none of our business if, how and when they're expecting

omg but still half cast are soo cute :)
@teekesselchen8 жыл бұрын
Please look into why that kind of statement is an incredibly racist thing to say/write.
@sabrinaho48698 жыл бұрын
teekesselchen was i being racist? All i say that half cast are cute? How is that offensive it was just a compliment. You must of took it the wrong way. If i was Somewhat being offensive in way, I'm sorry that i was offensive to anyone in anway.
I'll miss this original channel. There aren't many *charismatic, and genuine* vloggers/creators as you two. I wish you the best of luck in life and whatever comes ahead.

Ah, I'm tearing up watching these! May your family and future children be happy and healthy!
You said you wish you were stronger to record your children for youtube but I think you are making the stronger decision, you are letting go of a business opportunity to do what you feel is right for your family. I think that makes you much stronger. Thank you very much for your videos and take care :)

I'm not a subscriber, and I've only watched a few of their videos in the past. This one happened to appear on my front page, and I was curious about the title. But it really touched me too. There are tears in my eyes now :D

That's pretty respectful not to put your kids on KZbin!
@jaspr19998 жыл бұрын
I commented on Grace's video, but wanted to specifically give you a message Ryoske. I know I refer to you guys as kids, but that's my own bad habit as most of my students are about the same age as you guys. The fact is that you are a very good man that will make an amazing father, just like Grace will make an extraordinary mother. I can't imagine how hard leaving KZbin must be, but you both should know that your fans understand and will wait and be here if you ever decide to post again. Be happy and be blessed, both of you as well as future little you's and little Grace's!

I remember I binged watched their videos a while back then I saw they weren’t making any more videos… like watching a good anime and not having anything else to fall back on. No ovas, no manga, no live action, nothing. Hope they’re doing well!

Watching this again 6 years after, and still missing you guys! Thank you for all that you gave to your KZbin community. As another American woman married to a Japanese man, it is rare to find a couple that we relate with as much as we relate with you. I love to imagine a world where you 2 are happy enjoying your private life with your children!

I haven't come back for awhile but I just remembered them. I wouldn't check every day. I think they meant it when they said they were leaving. It's been two years. I'm sure they probably have a baby right now. It will still be quite a few years until they can get the kids permission to be on video. Even more if they will have more then one kid. Sadly.

I check every once in a while but not so much to see if there's a new video. Just want them to know that they were one of my favorite channels to watch. Seeing how they both adjusted to cultural differences and what life outside Tokyo can be. Plus Ryosuke gave me a lot of kitchen tips and Grace's comics were freakin awesome! So I hope everything is well with them.

*Ryosuke, Im saddened by this news but also given so much hope for my own future. You see, Im a Nebraskan who is fortunate enough to have met and fallen in love with a beautiful Japanese girl. Our cultures are so different and we've certainly debated them but have always overcame them. in two years we are going to Japan to see her Mom and Dad (shes in college here). As I said before, you have both brightened our life and inspired me to never give up. Thank you for everything. I truely hope that you will Grace our lives with your presence again. I cant thank you enough. *tear**
