Philip Shaibu is a very good deputy governor, but I can see why Obaseki is not supporting him as governor. Don't get me wrong, if he becomes a governor, he will do an okay job. But in Edo state, we need a lot more than that. We need an extremely intelligent fellow with vast national and international connections. Shaibu will be a massive downgrade from Obaseki. The bar has been set too high for politicians like Shaibu. What Edo state needs now at this crucial stage of our developmental trajectory is something Shaibu doesn't have. The only person I can see that possesses it is Asue Ighodalo.
