OSHIRO vol.70 Fukui Castle [Castle Tour] [Japan Tourism]

Currently, the stone walls and moat of the main keep remain. It appears that there were also second and third keeps, but they have become urban areas. The grounds of the main keep now house the Fukui Prefectural Government Office, the Fukui Prefectural Assembly Hall, and the Fukui Prefectural Police Headquarters.
The castle was built by Hideyasu Yūki. The layout of the main and secondary keeps was designed by Tokugawa Ieyasu, and this time we took a walk around the remnants of the castle ruins.
The previous castle tour was Komatsuji-yama Fort.
