Prayer to Oshun Beautiful Spirit of all the joys & comforts in life, of sweetness & laughter, wherever there is prosperity, wherever there is love, it is because You are present. Queen of Sensuality, Oshun, who dances in the rivers, & can turn anything sour into honey, let a river of spiritual & material wealth flow into my life, cleansing away suffering of any kind. Bless me with wealth of the heart to share these gifts with others. Ase

Oshun's powers are very much real. I did an offering for Oshun, I prayed, danced, laughed and cried. She appeared in my dreams, let me know she heard me and received my gifts to her. A month later I was pregnant with my 5th child and I had come into so very unexpected funds (5 figures). I love, honor, and respect Oshun. My birth month is 5 and Oshun has blessed my life.

I'm from Brazil and Yoruba religion was brought here by our enslaved African brothers and sisters and is still practised by many in our Umbanda and Candomblé. Listening to praises to the orishas sang by people who live in very distant countries is really beautiful and makes me feel strongly connected to our ancestors' energy. In fact, the second praise is also sang here in my country, in our very "heavy-accented" way of pronuncing Yoruba words hahaha. I only wished such a beautiful religion had been brought here in a less tragic historic context, but unfortunatly we cannot change the past, so all we can do is ask our spiritual guides to help us build a more loving and tolerant world, in which we all understand we're all brothers and sisters, regardless of nacionality, ethnicity or religion. Ashe to us all 💛!

Hmm I am from Nigeria .. osun is still much alive and her sacred cloth was stolen couple of years ago and it affected the festival for sometime ..because it always rain during the festival I mean heavy rain but due to what happened because of the sacred cloth that was used to cover her was stolen the quantity of rain was so little then everybody know something was wrong .. the high priests was the one that sold it and she was barnished by the king out of the town called osogbo . White people have steal so much from Africa .. and that is one of the reason why they can return Benin sacred statue that was stolen during the slavery age .. no matter where the statue is their will be prosperity .. Nigerian government have asked for it to be return back they never did . Why do you think the United kingdom is always at the top of everything .. they are loaning it to the United State now .. so that we cant be able to claim it .. their is so much in Nigeria that you don't know .. this European still come back to steal our idol to go and worship and keep in the safe .. so many earthly power have been stolen from us .. they killed our religion but we are coming back to claim our throne

Transmute it for my highest good. Please help me remain emotionally strong and balanced and rooted in love, grace and power. Allow men to see me through eyes of love. Allow me to see myself through eyes of love. Please remind me daily that I am your daughter and deserving of the best that life has to offer in ALL areas. Remove any desires from me that are not for my highest good. Allow me to only crave what is for my highest good. Please remove my longing and replace it with inner peace and joy. Bless you Queen for posting a comment as a Yoruba Woman! By blood and culture, you are our living legendary link to the Orisha faith that has fed and recovered so many! I am an Igbo American Woman who's People were stolen, bought, sold, trapped, raped, dehumanized, and bound by chains...terrorized and oppressed lower than any beaten and abused animal, used to BUILD one of the wealthiest and most wasteful elite european colonized appropriated Nations in the world. DNA was the only link I had back to by Nigerian roots, and the African Ancestry company charged so much money for me to find out that I am Igbo. As Igbo, I am so proud of the Yoruba People for KEEPING the Ifa teachings ALIVE and sharing the Orisha faith with all who needed it, uniting so many Africans around the world! Oshun has become the Goddess for so many African Americans ever since Beyonce shared some of her strengths and beauty through American music and film imagery. I am so GRATEFUL to ALL Yoruba women living TODAY! PLEASE keep your language and POWERFUL belief systems ALIVE for us all! Many blessings upon you and your People! Ase! Aho! 🇳🇬🙏🏾❤✊🏾

I’m 43 and working so hard to conceive my second child. It’s been 13 years. My love and I have been trying for two years. I’ve prayed, cried, gotten readings and womb steams. We’re doing fertility treatments now, which haven’t been successful yet. My heart hurts and yearns for the little girl I pray for. I started studying the Orishas recently and the priestess suggested I get to know Oshun. I gave my first offerings in the lake near my house. I’m so glad she’s in my life now. She is helping me find peace with this process. I pray she will bless us with our baby.🙏🏽👑🌻🍯🍊🦋

I received the call of distress from a recently initiated ancestor. Stuck between worlds. His cries were tearing me apart. I heard Mama Oshun tell me to call on her. I turned this on and prayed to her, welcomed her in.She came in along with the other guides I called for help. Soon I felt the lower energy part from me and my respected ancestor, I felt the turn of energy. It felt as though everything was being rocked, cradled by the belly of Mama Oshun. I could breathe. Everything would be ok, she said. And then I felt his essence. I felt his joy. I saw him with Mama Oshun. I saw him with the Highest, bathed in light. I heard him thank me. Ohh the shivers I feel now. And now he Dances with Mama. Now he Dances with God, bathed always in the Highest of light. I love you, I love you, I love you. 🙏🏽 And thank you, I bow and give so much gratitude to you Mama Oshun. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. The glory to God.

LaToya Brown I believe our souls recognize the vibrational frequency of the melody sang. We deeply needed to be connected with our African orgin of being and appreciate the beauty of our ppl. If you're African American it could be the healing of inherited/generational truama on a spiritual level. I know that's what I felt. Oshun could've touched you in a different, yet similar way.

I first heard of the Orïsha from children of blood and bone and all I can say is I’m glad I did. I love learning about different cultures Yoruba included and I can feel the same energy from this song dedicated to Oshun as I do with the goddess I worship from the Norse pantheon, Freyja. I know the two religions have a lot of differences but One thing in common is the energies I feel between the two. Especially in the music it is indeed like you’re connecting to your ancestors.

Yes indeed. I may be black but I do find the norse religion fascinating and cool in the same way as African spirituality.

"Omi ya wa" that sounds so much as an Igala dialect. I knew the Igala people were ancient traditionalists before colonisation. Everytime, i hear the songs on this Nathaniel Lewis channel it further prove my point regarding the Igalas taken into slavery from present day Nigeria and from present day Benin republic etc... My ANCESTORS, chose me for something and I believe it includes reconnecting to my traditional roots and connecting with my people. And i will definitely, do that.

Omi ya wa is Yoruba meaning "Water pour" ( like a storm). Igala is Yoruboid so I can understand why it may sound similar.
@earthsign6305 Жыл бұрын
@@opemalik7181 Can you explain what you mean by Yoruboid? Meanwhile, many Igala people were also taken into slavery during forceful colonisation "historical fact". But, i will like to understand why you use the term "Yoruboid".

Oshun blessed me with a child that is coming soon. Many doctors said I would not be able to have kids because I’m sterile. It goes to show that prayer and believing was all I needed to create a family. Words can not define my gratitude 🙏. Ashe
