🚨📢 Update: *Module 2 is 80% complete* --> pracnet.net/networking 👉👉 Enroll now for *discounted early access* to the course 📺▶ Module 1 Playlist: pracnet.net/nf 💭💬 Join us on Discord: pracnet.net/discord _--- More info ---_ *Full Course Status: Module 2 is 80% complete* Hopefully you've come to realize that I put _a lot_ of effort into the content I create. I'm not a course creator that will simply turn on the screen recording and ramble, then call that teaching. I meticulously plan _every_ module and lesson to _maximize the learning and value_ for the student. To that end, it takes me a while to put together courses. After Module 2, I have about 8 more modules planned going deeper into Networking. I plan to make this course _the_ premier Networking course that gives _everyone,_ in _any_ tech discipline, the Networking knowledge they need to succeed. *Let's face it, everything is connected to the Internet these days, and understanding how that works will set you apart professionally.* *If you want to support the full course's development, then the best way to do that is to spread the word about this content* . By itself it already conveys _a lot_ of value. So sharing even just the 7 lessons (13 videos, all free) in this series will help whoever you share it with. Plus ... many online communities would greatly benefit from these videos. Think of all the Internet points you could acquire if you shared this series (karma, likes, follows, etc.) 😉 Use this link to share the full series: kzbin.info/aero/PLIFyRwBY_4bRLmKfP1KnZA6rZbRHtxmXi Or this handy shortlink: pracnet.net/nf Also, if you share it on Twitter or LinkedIn, please tag me =): twitter.com/ed_pracnet/ www.linkedin.com/in/eharmoush/

I took a Cisco Networking Academy and received my CCNA last year but never understood networking through that course. The way you explain the information around all of these networking concepts is so much better. I knew what ports were but never knew the why/how behind them. In the early 70-thies I tested the prototypes of Philips main frame data communication equipment and I talked a lot to our representative in the OSI model development. So I started to use the model in my test reports. In the late 70-thies we developed a special purpose OS, that supported local static networks of 16-bits mini computers used in e.g ATC systems. We used a 2-byte network address CPU-id and Process-id. We could send a message from any process in the network to all others even over computer boundaries. We used the messaging also to communicated between processes running in different 64K address spaces. Processes that needed frequent cooperation could share pages and control concurrent access to that data through semaphores.

Pure Gold Content. Wish we had Video 30+ years back... While doing Polytechnic (3rd year in 1989) in India, I have read Computer Networks written by Author Tanenbaum. I think it was pre-www. I spent many many hours and tried hard to picturize OSI model in mind and understand. Later while doing my Engineering (after 3 years) I had same Network subject with more chapters (around 1993) and still could not visualize how the OSI layer works.. Same story while doing executive course. I have to go thru same subject again. Wish this video was then during my college days... I am not network engineer but I was always curious How really this works.. And this video is blessing to me, as it solidified my networking visualization. Million thanks.

I'm so grateful to you. Your lessons are very easy to understand due to the way you present and explain them. I am currently taking a course on Computer Networks at the university and I understood practically nothing and did not see the connection between the topics, since they load you with a huge flow of information and everything is written in a complex way and it isn't shown how these topics are related to each other. It's like they're giving you puzzle pieces without telling you what picture you're supposed to complete at the end. And you don’t understand what to do with this mountain of puzzle pieces. Thanks to your videos, all the pieces of the puzzle fell into place.

I've watched several videos of people explaining this and yours has been the most clear and understandable one I have seen. Thank you for your great explanation! Can you please go into more detail on Layer 5-7 it would be greatly appreciated. If you ever want to do more video you should do some on the basics of getting A+ certification. I am currently working on this cert and wish I had you as a teacher or your videos to explain some of those subjects.
