Osibisa is a band formed in London in 1969 by four Africans and three Caribbeans, which reached its greatest popularity in the early 70s. It was one of the first African groups known worldwide.

@williamamponsah41889 күн бұрын
Osibisa, was a true and solely Ghanaian band, initially called comets and when some of the Ghanaians left, the sole founder Teddy Osei and his younger brother Mac Tonto from Ghana added two more Ghanaians, a Nigerian and two Caribbeans. So it’s African band from Ghana, the word Osibisa is an Akan word from Ghana, period. Woyaayaa is a Ga language from Ghana.

I am 56,..first time listened Sunshine Day - OSIBISA, when I was 10 or 11, as my next door neighbor, in a very little town of Indonesia, East Java, was a radio cassette shop. And since then Sunshine Day become one of my evergreen oldies most memorable song. And only realized by today, reading on the below comments, that in fact, OSIBISA, is from Ghana, the only African country I've ever visited so far. I visited Thema, small town close to Accra back in 2010.
