OSLO CITY OF LOVE is the new video from SPOONFUL OF BLUES. The song is taken from the album HOWLIN’ SCREAMIN’ & CRYIN’ on the BUESTOWN RECORDS label. The audio recording was done in recorded in JUKE JOINT STUDIO, Notodden, Norway. The video was filmed at various times in 2020 during the corona pandemic period when Norway opened up a little and the regulations in Norway allowed us to do some gigs with a limited capasity audience and social distancing.
SPOONFUL OF BLUES loves their audience, and Oslo is a regular stop on our tours several times a year. We love Oslo and dedicated this song to the city and to our loyal fans at the different venues around town. Oslo, as many other cities around the world, suffer from the effect of the pandemic. We wanted to make and release this video in love and solidarity with our fans in Oslo - the city in our nation that is the most affected and troubled by the pandemic.
People around the world suffer from Covid-19, and it is at this time by no means over. However, in the beginnig of 2021 the vaccination program is being rolled. This brings hope that we can once again see a return to live, and we hope that we once again very soon will be able to tour and see our fans in Oslo once again. This video is a celebration of that hope an of our optimism for 2021. We hope to see all our fans everywhere once again soon. It’s been a long wait!
