This is a departure from Oslo Gardermoen International Airport in summer 2022. We actually flew from Oslo to Bergen Norway. This was an evening departure from Oslo Airport and most of the restaurants and lounge was closed.

4:23 The majority of flights at Gardermoen are actually domestic. Norwegians travel a lot by air domestically.

Several online rating sites have Gardermoen Airport at or near the top of their lists of best airports. Why? This is one of the ugliest things I've ever seen. So much PVC, and other plastics and the overall look is industrial--only dull. I didn't see any kind of information desk where you entered the airport, nor was there an obvious diagram for finding your way around the airport. I noticed that everything, including the covid testing business was already closed when you arrived around 9:00 PM. I looked up some of these and their listed business hours showed the closing time as 10:00 PM or later. Was this some sort of holiday? You mention the excessive time spent searching your bag before your domestic flight. If they are that worried about terrorism, why did they take all those Muslims and Bantoids into the country? This airport--rated as Norway's best--looks like a nightmare. How disappointing!

Have you been there? All wood and natural stone - simpel Scandinavian design :-) Covid is not an issue in Norway and no testing. Norway is not worried about terror, only customs that check you don't bring too much alcohol or cigarettes into the country - don't worry :-)

You're absolutely clueless. I've been to countless airports and Gardermoen is EASILY One of the best. Very easy to navigate and the spaces feel open and welcoming. I won't even comment on your Muslim nonsense. The security check is very simple and efficient. If you're held back for a closer check, your experience will obviously be somewhat different. But the staff is very professional and polite. Watching a video can't compare to actually being there. Gardermoen is extremely modern and the layout is very efficient. Most airports are ugly AF, Gardermoen is not one of them. Of course there are more lavish, over the top airports in Asia and the middle east, but Gardermoen is absolutely one of the best I've ever been to.
