To me one of the often overlooked and underestimated Classics of Pop from The Osmonds. Still remember fondly the MGM Records 45 rpm record that I had of this song that came out in late-1971 when I was 8-years old. I remember wearing this one out in playing on the turntable. Agreed amazing and excellent choreography.

Mesha it is such a shame that such a fun song that had a choreographer devise such a wonderful set of steps to breath more life into the words got really dumbed down when the Osmonds performed in concerts. If you watch there concerts the osmonds always had back up musicians, and for this number I would have loved them to have put down the guitars and simply sing and dance this song. Donny and Marie would later joke that on there in 1976-1980 show that 2 step Jay Osmond did all the Choreography. This song has steps that they are comfortable with, but it has the watchful eye and creative vision of a choreographer.

@@craigslivka1 I didn't know that in concert that this tune was not performed the way it should be as it sounded on the records or in this performance. I would have to admit, I'm glad that I wasn't that much older then I was back then to go to many concerts on my own, yet -- I think I would have been great disappointed if the choreography and singing didn't match this performance.

Why so dark? I've seen a better copy of this somewhere. Sadly, why were they cut from the Best of Flip Wilson Show Decades binge along with other musical performances? 🤷🤦 I watched all weekend for this and it's just not in there.

Nothing about them is original, from the The Jackson 5 format to tje little Elvis jumpsuits. Then came Jimmy… 🤣

Who is original?
@Lensmaster1 Жыл бұрын
You are a sad person aren't you? The Jackson 5 moves weren't original. They learned from motown which picked up moves from R and B singers who preceded the record label. Over the top matching outfits were popular for musical groups at the time.

You sound ignorant & jealous! These guys started before the Jackson Five. Elvis loved The Osmonds, so I'm sure he didn't mind them copying his suits, so you shouldn't mind, either. Get a life!
@LuvTadnDixie Жыл бұрын
They didn't copy the Elvis suits. They had the same designer as Elvis. Both were wearing these during the same era . . . early 70s.
