Hi! i just bought the ariel AG 55 but the toplid is not a separate backpack, it's just a lid. Is that maybe a limited edition thing? Or is de model different in other countries? I bought it in Belgium.

The European version is different, it doesn't have the day pack. The European version comes with a rain cover, whereas the North American version doesn't and comes with a day pack. I'm not sure why they made it different for different regions of the world!

Hi there! The Ariel series of packs are considered a women's model by Osprey, and although this model is made with some women's specific features in mind, if it fits it could be used by any user! The unisex version of this pack is the Aether 55: www.enwild.com/osprey-aether-55-2021.html

Some manufacturers create different versions for different markets. The unit reviewed in this video is the model available in the US market, and the versions available in other markets may differ in features or aesthetics.

Hi Janice, the Ariel Ag and the Ariel have are both great bags. It's in the opinion that Osprey has changed the suspension enough between the two packs that we recommend trying both on if you can. Each pack has its own great set of features that deliver extreme comfort and weight distribution.

Also, if you're asking about the day lid, Osprey does provide different features in different countries. Ariel/Aether packs sold in the US include a day lid, while those sold in Europe and some other regions come with a raincover.

hi, I love your channel, I have doubts in which size its better..if the ariel ag 55 or the 65 I traveled around for a month I go to the mountains most of the times and I carried all my gear, my sleep bag, tent, food, sleep pad, cook kit and off course my clothes (only the necessary) so I dont know which size of packback could be enough for all my stuff. Hope you can help me to chose the right bag

Thanks for the question. Our vote would be the 65 because of the following reasons: The weight is not that much more if you move up to the 65 You will have more space for the extras while traveling, and the compression straps can secure the load if it is not packed out all the way. You can use the Integrated FlapJacket cover when you take the lid off.

Hi Ash! The differences come down to personal preference- The Deva has a firmer/supportive backpanel and a shorter, squat-er stature. The Ariel has the tensioned mesh backpanel which is more breathable, but softer, and is taller and narrower in shape.

Hi Becky! I was wondering what your thoughts were on the Ariel AG 55 vs the Aura AG 50 for a 3-5 day backpacking trip? I'm looking to buy either or, but I can't make up my mind!

The Ariel AG will be able to comfortably hold more weight compared to the Aura, so if you need to carry heavier equipment, that may be your better option. Also, the Ariel packs have interchangeable components, so you can get a nearly perfect fit regardless of your size/shape. The Aura packs are designed to be a bit more lightweight and they won't hold heavier loads as well. The carry system is slightly adjustable, but you will have to make sure you order the correct size per your torso length, as usual. Both are capable of 3-5 day backpacking trips if you pack them well. Thanks for watching!

Hi Andrea, tough question! Both packs have Osprey's Anti-Gravity system so they will have a similar feel. The Aura is likely the more user-friendly pack and has an adjustable harness and hipbelt. The Ariel could be better if you plan on consistently being at heavier packweights and prefer a more firm backpanel. Happy Trails!

Hi Pam, If you purchased an Ariel or Aether pack in the United States, Osprey includes the day lid pack as part of the package. As we understand it, if you purchased one of these packs outside the US, Osprey includes a raincover instead.
