I have the Atmos 65L and it was amazing on my trip to Big Bend last month. Having to carry all of your water in the desert let me push the weight limit and it handled so well. The way it clings to your hips REALLY helps take the weight off.

I tried one on in the shop, it took a while to adjust to me. I'm 6'3" and 17st . At £250 you have to be sure before you part with your hard earned..

Hello and thanks for the question, 49 cm, translates to just over 19 inches which falls into the S/M size. If he expects to be doing longer multiple day trips the 65 liter is probably going to be the most useful, unless he is used to packing extremely light.

Between the Atmos 65 AG and the Aether 65 which would you choose and why?

I always preferred the smaller Atmos packs (35 liter) and the larger Aether packs (65 liter), but that's just personal preference. I felt that the Atmos was more comfortable for some running/jogging and the Aether was more comfortable under heavier loads.

How come the new Atmos AG has "airspeed" on its back? Isn't it AG suspension? Or has it changed to airspeed? Thanks.

It still has the AG suspension, harness and hipbelt!

Can you still remove the brain on the AG 50? Can't see an additional flap for the 'lid'....

On this version you can still remover the brain but there is no flap to cover where the brain was

How well do the pads on the hips (Atmos) conform to your body? I tried out the bag in store and they dig into my hips a bit

Did you adjust the harness to your body size? center of the hip fins must be placed on your hip bone.

The Small/Medium fits torsos measuring 17"-20.5" and the Large/Xlarge fits torsos measuring 19.5" - 23". Thanks for watching!
