hello is it good for lowcosst travelling to plane? if it suits to that cabin bag- that frame,.. if it is under 22 inches in length or if it is possible little press that frame get to tthat size.. of course i wont full all bag. I want just travel with that so if it is good or i just lose money, thank you so much for answer

I feel more confused than ever!! I'm torn between this, the osprey 36 sirrus and the kelty redwing 40. Need for a month for Europe traveling by train and plane. 🤦🏻‍♀️ any help is appreciated!

I adore my kelty coyote. It's the same as the red wing just different sizes. Highly recommend the kelty

Hi Olivia, no problem you're doing really well! The Kyte 36 is likely a little too large to work as a carry on bag (if your airline is strict). The pack is only a little bit larger than would typically be allowed, so it may be worth checking with your airline. Thanks for watching!

My torso measures 17”. Would I be safe in going with the S/M? I’m afraid the XS/S will not fit as well. I’m 5’8” but short torso for my height. Thanks for your thoughts. BTW I live too far from a store to go in for fitting and will be ordering online

Last month I was wondering which bakcpack should I get and got my hand on Kyte. But now I am sad that Osprey launched their new version of Kyte in 2019 which I did not know since the staff did not tell me when I purchased their 2016 version :(

I just got this pack today but will already have to return it because the shoulder straps are digging into my shoulders and really uncomfortable after adding some weight to test it out. Also the shoulder straps are pretty hard and just not really bendable, and dont sit comfortably on the shoulders at all. Sucks because I liked this pack a lot.

Becky is around 5'6". Keep in mind, height doesn't always determine which size pack a person should wear. You'll want to take an accurate torso measurement in order to find the best fit. Thanks for watching!

This version of the Kyte does have bottom entry to its sleeping bag compartment. If you decide you don't need a separate storage area, you can pull the divider aside. Thanks for watching!

The 2019 model of the Kyte 36 is pretty similar, but does have a different look and a few more places to store items on the outside of the pack. It also has an external water reservoir sleeve to set up a hydration system. If you already have a Kyte 36, maybe not worth getting an all new pack to have the new version. If you're in the market for a day/weekend pack then the Kyte 36 is definitely worth considering.
