Thank you for the review! As a petite, I love to see how these packs fit on a shorter female. A pack I'd love to see reviewed is the Gregory Jade 38. Gregory generally makes packs that fit short women well.

Nice job Christine! the bag looks spacious with lots of handy pockets, the only thing i'm not too keen on is the shape... but i'm loving that brands are doing more suitcase style backpacks

Thank you for this review. I purchased this bag yesterday before seeing any reviews. I wanted a quality, carry on size backpack with a luggage strap, that opened like a suitcase, was thrilled to find it and the fabrication is kind of space agey and cool I also had wanted a waist strap and the store help told me it didn't come with one and wasn't meant to have one. That bothered me a bit, but i went ahead and bought it. After seeing your review i was thrilled to see the hidden waist strap and that the chest strap can be moved up or down. I see others commenting about lack of ventilation- this is my first backpack so i will see how much the lack of ventilation bothers me on the trip.

I've seen this backpack in the store. I like how the inside is organized, but I can't stand the material used on the outside.

I have the previous version of the Global which has no backpack straps, just a shoulder strap. For this reason I like it better, but honestly, this new version has better layout of the laptop compartment, the utility compartment and even the mesh pockets on the internal divider!

It’s a bag that you advertise for ‘global travel’ on most smaller airlines, depending on how you pack it. Great! That what I’m looking for. So, 2 questions: 1) is the omission of top and bottom external compression straps on both sides an oversight- or is there a design function I’m missing??? And, 2) in a day when pack-makers are perfectly capable of implementing stretchy water bottle/gear pockets that lie completely flat when not holding a water bottle/gear, giving a bag improved function w/o adding additional dimension - why would you omit this??? - WHY??? - It gives the impression that someone off in an ivory-tower out of touch with traveling realities is doing the design work! - I’m still looking! 😵💫

I bough transporter 40 and 60 for use. Tried them at home with some lightweight gear inside(5-10kg) and the shoulder straps that are the exact same construction digs in to my neck. Unwearable and returned instantly. What a shame to otherwise awesome backpack design and quality.

Oh gee, another travel backpack without a padded and ventilated section on the back. It looks good apart from that but a TPU back panel is a recipe for a very sweaty carry.
@velyvely64792 жыл бұрын
it covers so much of the back also... better wear a black tee on carry days lol
@sdemosi2 жыл бұрын
@@velyvely6479 yes it's an odd choice because it's not like a purchaser is going to be put off by the modest extra cost of fitting a proper set of ventilated pads at the back. And as for the hip belt, that's helpful if you want to maximise the heat generated by contact with that lovely TPU. I'm not sure how they arrived at these design decisions.

those straps are the worst, i tried them out and there is no way those shoulder straps wont cut in to you, besides that flaw the bag would be good. there like kid straps

Good luggage but a water bottle holder should have been there.

Are the luggage locks effective? What stops someone from cutting through?
@Minecraftrok999 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely nothing. Luggage locks are never effective against a thief who already has your bag in their position. No luggage locks on any bag provide real resistance, but they do help with pickpockets/thieves that try to steal from your bag in short moments.

What the hell are Osprey doing?. The old carryon had a zippered cover on the back to expose shoulder and hip belt straps and a proper wicking back panel. Take the new model to a tropical country and you will sweat like hell on your back. Major design fail.
