I just installed these and it is a far better solution to connect the power cables to the positive outlet in the fuse box than to go directly to the battery terminals.

Does it need encoding via the VDSM program? I was told by the official car dealer that my car's computer (Golf 7.5 // 2019) may not recognize the headlight upgrade and was urged not to retrofit them (I have the standard halogen lights). Many thanks in advance. P.S. Amazing video‼

@@AutoPartsEurope tiene faros halógenos de serie, pero aqui en España hay que homologarlos en ficha y me comentan desde un laboratorio que tienen que ser autonivelantes , porque si no no lo aprueban, me comentan que la normativa para led seria que no hace falta lavafaros pero si que se autonivelen

Saludos@@santiruiz9880 , Entendemos pero este es otro tipo de producto, lo que pidieron es necesario para los faros de xenón de 35w. Nuestro Full LED está por debajo de 2000 lúmenes, esto se encuentra dentro de los parámetros de homologación ECE y, por lo tanto, no requiere la instalación de piezas adicionales. Ya hemos tenido experiencia en España con otros usuarios, lo único extra que España exige es un "certificado de homologación" emitido por la motorización (que no es necesario en Italia ni en otros países). For this cable, the passenger side (right side from perspective looking forward inside the car) cable I believe needs to be secured around to the walls of the engine bay en route to be placed with the battery. Is heat resistant tape, electrical tape, or heat resistant electrical tape recommended to perform the securing?

Several major issues with this video, (having just done the installation, there is a MUCH better video kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYTam2mHjZ2bgc0 ) Firstly there are FOUR fixings under the wheel arch (one right at the top). Secondly, there is no need to remove the whole front with all the complications of fog lights and sensors and needing two people. Thirdly there is zero info on how to set the adjustments for height and one of these must be done prior to fitting. Fourthly and most importantly there is zero info on where to lay the OS wire to the battery - and as the only sensible place is next to an existing wire on the valance in front of the radiator, then through the nearside of radiator to meet up with the NS new battery wire, both then fastened to the existing loom and up to the battery - it is too short and must be lengthened. If someone gets this positioning wrong, then it is dangerous. This is a good product and at first sight the video looks great - why not get the essential details right? It is worse having a professional looking video when it is actually wrong as it misleads, remove it and re-do it please or just point to the other video.
