Niimbot printers only work with expensive original labels that have an NFC tag. They do not work with regular thermal labels. The manufacturer justifies this by claiming their labels are of high quality, which is true. However, regular paper thermal labels are often needed for labeling mail shipments and more. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide the option to choose which labels to use. I do not recommend this printer if you need to do a lot of printing.

I’ve seen people use non-original print paper. In the app, when choosing paper/template, there should be an option to create a “custom template” or something along those lines. There you can write a custom paper sige, type, dimension, etc. And then print using whatever paper you want.

@@user-uk3gc2dk3h i did the same but if the print was very dull on non original labels. And when I wound non-original labels on a drum with original ones - the printing was perfect, which proves the fact that the manufacturer intentionally blocks printing on non-original labels using an nfc sticker. And another unpleasant point, each roll of original stickers with nfc is programmed for a certain number of printed stickers. Once this amount is reached, the printer will print dimly, even on original labels, until you replace the labels with new ones. So you will not be able to print normally on non-original labels. The manufacturer deliberately limited it.

Hello. Their own labels are very expensive. There are labels of the same size sold on the internet for less than half the price. I wonder if it will print on these?

If you go onto the major shopping websites and look at sticker rolls, there are some that guarantee a “long” life of ten years. (Probably they will last longer but begin to fade after that.)

Lovely video. Are you able to get smaller rolls for that printer instead of the stickers being so big how small can you get if you dont want to have to cut the sticker paper to make the stickers smaller

There are a few size options for stickers, only sad thing is that you have to order ones compatible with NIIMBOT. It’s nifty but so much detail gets lost when printing 😢

Don’t people worry about these PR China companies sucking up a ton of personal data? Not only your own but your customers or family…. Some of these print apps make you register, and some even demand to know where you are when you print. This “intelligent identification technology” company, it can literally know a lot of your business.

@@83dude It is mandatory for all Chinese companies to allow the Chinese government access to their customer database. Think about that. This is a government that has opened covert “police stations” in other countries to surveil and arrest overseas Chinese. It’s a government that has instituted total online surveillance and a social comtrol program where people get credits and demerits for online ideological that decides whether they can get regional passports for work, permission to marry, etc. It’s a government busy DNA typing the entire Uighur ethnic population, including those they are not sweeping up to jail in “re-education” camps.
