OSRS Ultimate Guide Corrupted Gauntlet Boss Fight 2023

This is geared towards people who are trying to learn how to get consistent successful completions.
There are also useful tips in here so maybe you can already do it, but learn something new and helpful!

Honestly, I can kill hunlef sort of easily now with some difficulty. But the emotional abuse this boss gives me is not worth the constant 40k loot that I get from the chest lol

Dodges and switches (including switching prayers) are equality important for this boss. Dps not nearly as much

this came up on my feed, previously i had 1 KC CG out of pure luck, watched this and got my 2nd KC first try! the tip about eating and drinking when the tornadoes were out helped me get much better DPS. for anyone reading this it was with T1 armour, and two T3 weapons (range and mage)

The best tip in the whole video is to just spend more time in the boss room without other preps. Put that at the front, practice is king.😊

I got 12 completions and over 180 deaths when i get hunllef under 100hp almost each time but always get killed by tornados what do you recommend and i have over 300 reg gaunt kc

It took me over 400 regulars before I started to get good at corrupted. I've got 203 cg completions and 148 deaths. Most of those deaths were before 40 kc. The thing that made the biggest difference for me was switching to T2 armor instead of T1 (while learning, though I can now do it in T1). Fill up as much inventory spaces with food as you can and try to bring in 2 x 4 dose potions. Time management is key during prep, I'm able to get 20-24 food every time now. When looking for resources, if you find a room that has more resources in it than the one you're in, go to it before finishing the room you're in, then circle back, opening unopened rooms, to get back to the previous one if you still need those resources. During the battle, it is undeniable how incredibly helpful it is to use hotkeys for switching back and forth between inventory and prayers, so if you don't use hotkeys then I would HIGHLY suggest using them from here forward, even if it's hard to get the hang of at first. I've done it without hotkeys to see if I could and it is without a doubt significantly easier using hotkeys (f1-f12, or if you use the remapping plugin like I do then whatever keys you want for whatever screen to open) it's also handy to use asdw to move camera for small adjustments so that you can keep your cursor in the important sections of the screen rather than using middle mouse button for every camera movement, I only use mmb for fast long camera movements. Also, does he have a sound or animation for when I need to swap my weapon or do I just need to keep looking at the prayer icon above his head?

Prayer icon above head. Though he does actually make the sounds that the prayers make when you turn them on. So if you're close enough you can actually hear him change prayers just like a player would. It will become muscle memory on when to change weapons eventually. And if you have auto retaliate turned off then your character will automatically stop attacking when he changes prayers, this is really useful when going for perfect corrupted/gauntlet combat achievement.

Not sure if this is still useful for u, but it might be for somebody else, if you tag him and change the colour of the tag, he has a different color for each pray, meaning you can do res for melee pray, green for range pray and blue for mage pray, if you are having issues keeping track of his overheads then that might make it easier to spot

hi i can kill the boss like 70% of the time but i struggle alot to dodge the tornados at the last boss phase especially when the yellow fields are like a square on every corner of the room. Do you have any advice for that situation?

Turn on the true tiles for the tornados in "the gauntlet" plugin. That will help. Also, on that specific floor pattern, try to run to a safe corner off of one of those squares, then run to the other side of the room in a straight line, or if not all the way to the other side then to another corner of another box and then run to the closest wall, then to the edge of the 1st box you ran from. I can make a short video if you need a better explanation.

Stretched Mode plugin, I set mine to 150% but it depends on your resolution. Skip to like the last 20 seconds or so of the video, I have a whole list of incredibly helpful tips/info on the left side. Hope this helps!

It seems the sound indicator when he swaps attacks doesn’t give you a lot of time to switch prayer. It feels like you need to be ready to swap the second the sound goes off and not after the sound goes off. So does that mean I should be counting his attacks to prepare for the switch? Or am I missing something. It’s hard to count the attacks while doing all the other mechanics.

They updated the sound mechanics, I'm currently working on a couple videos to make an updated guide. You actually have quite a bit of time to change prayers. Like, after you hear the indicator that he's about to change his attack, immediately after you hear the sound of his fourth attack (before the sound even finishes), you can change your prayer.

Last phase, both T3 weapons, I have rigour unlocked, but I keep dealing low hits or 0s that causes me to stay in that hellish phase longer than expected which results in my death either from running out of food or messing up with the tornadoes I swear, this boss must get an invisible boost to his defense in that phase, this is so bullshit

Keep practicing! Don't focus on your damage, it will cause you to get distracted from the more important aspects of the fight. The damage will come, you do a lot less damage when you're dead.

What’s the tornado ID/name for true tile?

I'm not sure, I know it's under one of the 3 gauntlet plugins. I think "The Gauntlet" plugin. Then you go to the boss tab and look for the tornado true tile option. If memory serves me right. I don't have internet access on my PC right now otherwise I'd check and give you a confident answer. Lemme know if this was helpful.
