They're not exactly the romantic fairytale prince and prince that transparent nonsense like the video above tries to present them as, are they. Kate deferred her education by a year and changed schools in order to put herself in the vicinity of a prince she had never met so that she can shake her money maker at him; while for his part, William wasn't exactly enthusiastic about marrying Kate, even dumping her embarrassingly and publicly when the RF became concerned she might be frightening off other applicants for the job. Hardly the stuff of Disney fantasies, is it? There's clearly a lack of warmth between them and, as media overseas continues to report, the distance between them seems to be growing. It may be that William, who had already severed ties with Kate's wife beating and alleged drug dealing uncle, is embarrassed further by the Middleton's recent bankruptcy which saw them leave the debts they incurred in the pursuit of their private interests to the taxpayer and the innocent people who continued to do business with them in good faith. He certainly didn't lift a finger to help them out, but there was never really a time when they were the lovey dovey couple who couldn't get enough of each other. We know that they didn't sleep in the same bed and, if reports are to be believed, they may not even be shearing the same roof. The persistent rumours about the Williams affair wit Rose Hanbury (which have never been addressed, and as a result of which Kate severed ties with Rose) notwithstanding, there have been frequent reports of shouting matches, involving thrown objects, and reference to William's short fuse and tendency to anger. They have never been particularly demonstrative of affection, and on occasions William has appeared to intentionally avoid Kate's attempt at physical contact. He might just be shy, of course, but the attempt to present them as anything coming close to being demonstrative of affection is ludicrously desperate. I can't help thinking that William grew up to become everything his mother wanted him to be, so easy & lively when with the public, happiest in the company of his wife & children. Secondly, their work is in philanthropy. They have set up Royal foundation which does tremendous amount of good work. E.g. Heads Together (mental health charity), Earthshot Prize (environmental prize that award $5mill each year to 5 individuals or organisations), Early year learning to improve early year care and improve future of children etc. Thirdly, their role is to promote UK on world stage while maintaining the tradition and legacy associated with their royal heritage. They go on royal duties, i.e. visiting local charities, nursing home, local businesses to determine if there is a gap or need for help and they will try and help without being political.
