Thanks Andy! This was amazingly helpful. Glad to hear you just kind of say "dude, this is what you want. it is expensive, but you'll buy it once and you'll be set"... rather than spending 20 minutes showing how awesome the packaging materials are.

I use a Andis Pulse ZR 2 detachable clipper. Fading with blades without using guards to me saves times and can give a superior fade due to how precise they cut. You can use a Andis Phat Master or a stretch lever clipper to blend parts of the fade and work along side the detachable

I bought an oster octane off ebay, in new condition but it didn't impress me enough, like the 2 blade cuts well but a smaller blade like the 000 or 00000 pull my clients hair, like if the motor is not powerful enough. Any idea what this could be? Would I need to get a new battery or a new motor, my blades are pretty new, almost not used and I have ceramic and steel so I doubt those are the issue
@jaelyn16303 ай бұрын
it has to be the blades, im guessing they are misaligned which can happen fairly easily with the medal guards. You can take them apart and make sure they are lined up evenly when put back together. also keep in mind if they are andis brand medal guards that also happens often, I recommend only getting the oster brand. with the way these function there’s no way the machine can cause the blades to pull the hair.
