Another episode of #TPC This Place Called takes us to Modena, Italy where we had the pleasure of having lunch at Massimo Bottura's Osteria Francescana. 3*** Michelin, #2 on San Pelligrino's List, and it didn't disappoint.
Shoutout to John Miller for this reservation, sorry you couldn't come 🙁

Lol at all these comments about portion sizes. This isn’t some McDonalds where you go to stuff yourself regularly at a cheap price. It’s an experience you probably won’t have many times in your life. If you work at a 3 Michelin star restaurant that’s rated best in the world, you’d want to be paid way more than someone flipping burgers at a fast food joint. The prices and portion sizes will obviously match the level of chef expertise and quality of ingredients needed to make such food. Moreover, most fine dining establishments don’t serve big portions. It’s simply not classy in that setting.

Guys, it's a tasting menu. You don't order tasting menus to get full. You order them to TASTE (hence the name) some of the most creative and delicous dishes a restaurant has to offer. If you wanna get full order a la carte.

This was a great, honest video about a restaurant most fantasize visiting. Visually, I was blown away by the amount of labor that clearly went into making these dishes. And on top of that for Bottura to come out at the end?! I was not expecting that. That really makes it special.

I’m italian and I’ve been there twice (2010-2016). Lots of americans don’t understand the ancient culture of food. “The biggest’s the best” is usually their thing. I apreciate this video and this guy because he made an honest and spontaneous review. If you go there you’ll have an experience not just a dinner. Some things you’ll just love, some other maybe not. Leonardo not a relevant comparison as Modena and Sicily are both in the same country whereas New York is USA and Mexico is.... Mexico.
