The GM had a very difficult decision to make as Harbaugh was on the verge of being fired. Pay cut saved his job but allowed JH to justify in his mind to win at any cost. He has been trying to leave since 2021 as he knew the truth would eventually out.

Buckeye Scoop is the absolute best podcast for Buckeye Nation. All others are posers and pretenders! The Scoop is the gold standard and the highest bar to reach regarding Buckeye coverage for ALL the right reasons. I am homegrown in the HOF city (Canton, OH), USNA ‘81 grad, USMC helicopter pilot from Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and current preacher/evangelist and one who owns so many Buckeye t-shirts and ballcaps that my wife may seek marriage counseling (lol), but when you cannot sell gear and memorabilia AFTER winning a Natty you are the ultimate dumpster fire.

All the Michigan fans I know, don’t think any additional punishment is coming. They are convinced the “fair and square” comment was an endorsement of their title. So I don’t know. My guess is MDen paid a lot of athletes to sign autographs and they lost money on those deals. Even uptick in sales couldn’t offset the amount spent to have McCarthy, Corum, etc. to sign.

I am constantly baffled by the Harbaugh accolades that I hear on this show (2nd best coach in Michigan history) when his greatest success by far at Michigan came during the three years of a cheating scandal. Is he a great college coach minus the cheating? It sure didn't seem like it for five years.

Michigan football since I was born in 1950: 1950 - 1969 (Dead period; dormant); 2007 - 2020 (Dead period/drought/dormant/non existent.) WHY CAN'T MICHIGAN SUSTAIN SUCCESS OVER TIME? That is a mystery. OSU top ten final ranking in the AP - 46 times and highest winning % the past half century with Oklahoma second - the model of consistency. Michigan's best sustained period when two Ohio State men (Bo and Mo) were at the helm (1969 - 1994)
