The hitsound change is really important. I think peppy had something else in mind but modular hitsounds and cursors for skins would be much appreciated rather than having 20000 skins for minor changes

Yeah I think argon and argon pro is a good middle ground. We can still edit skin elements, but having nice standard presets that are actually good isn't a bad thing at all imo.

modular skins in general would be really useful, especially if you're a multi mode player being able to choose between independent skins or even individual elements for each mode, instead of forgetting to switch constantly, would be a life saver

i have noticed yesterday that scores that have been submitted with doubletimespeeds below 1.5 are calculated as if they were played with 1.5x speed. i set a 333pp play on one by one yesterday with 1.1x doubletime but if i were to look at the score on my lazer profile it is calculated as 733pp.

This is dope. I just got back into playing Osu! after stopping in 2016. Lazer really caught my interest and it's great! For someone that's relatively new and using an old ass tablet (CTH-670) Osu!Lazer feels incredible. With scores finally being tracked (even if experimental) hopefully more players gain interest. Keep up the good work!

Finally: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GETTING RID OF FILE DUPLICATION!!! I have 43 gigabytes of songs in standard, and I didn't like having that much used twice on my one terabyte storage, now I have so much more space. Still bummed about the lack of a song folder for easy access to files in Lazer, but it's whatever. This update is a major step in the right direction for me. I don't know what you did, but the yuugen skin I was using that was not working properly before is now. The editor still needs some functionality, but at this rate I might actually convert.

After opening Lazer again after so many months the intro the vibe put such a huge smile on my face that alone made my day the performance issues are so much better now i can actually play the menu is still a little laggy but my pc is very crap and im sure even that will get better but the lag while playing maps is very better now

I guess its finally time to swap to lazer whenever I am not playing tournaments :D Regarding the previous issue (which I now edited away, and which this comment was focused on before), it appears that the issue where disabling the osu! build in driver brakes wacom drivers is resolved? At the very least can I use my tablet now as I could in stable, very cool!

Thanks for the update! You guys are killing it, on the topic of feedback though, my friend wont switch to lazer because he hates the ui and prefers stable, when would you consider adding UI presets as well as gameplay skins, my idea is that they're seperate so you could use the awesome hitcircles from one skin without having to deal with the awful ui and just being able to stick to what you already like. In regards to the argon pro skin, something higher level palyers will benefit from is definitely reduced animations that could possibly distract you, personally (ranked around 50k) i think that the cursor sort of blends in with the circles too much since the circles are high contrast and the cursor is close to one of the circle colours, that can lose you for a tiny bit when doing jumps or something. My ideal lazer cursor is the rainbow danser cursor that looks like one smooth beam of light that fades out, like the ones recreated in stable but much more refined and that are cut off at the end so they don't leave a massive green trail on the playfield when you're doing jumps. When it comes to mod customisation, i think that incremental increases could be good at maybe 0.05 or 0.10 increments so that we could benefit from maps suited to us without enabling micro adjustments to squeeze that last drop of pp ;).

Came up with 2 (in my opinion) pretty cool ideas that you could maybe think about implementing. 1. Have the ability to toggle snaking out sliders in the map editor to certain sliders, and for the players have the option to enable/disable snaking out sliders as well as override the mapper's set option. This can be useful for making slider art more visible for players that like snaking out sliders but don't want to miss out on those kewl slider arts. 2. Having the flick to hide notifications is very cool, how about adding something that makes it bounce across the sides of your screen if you flick it hard enough, maybe even squish it a little bit as it does so.

im actually really happy with the changes, and im not sure if this is in the works, but just in case this has been overlooked i really would like to see something akin to "compatibility mode" from stable implemented. Stable is only really playable for me with it, and lazer is just very laggy for me currently without it.

After playing with the new argon pro skin, I have just one suggestion, which is the trail between notes. These are quite distracting especially when playing with hidden on. Changing tthe arrows to lines or having the option to customize this would be nice

After playing around with the pro version of the argon skin, I noticed that tracking the cursor is considerably harder than a "normal skin", but I'm not entirely sure if this is happening because the cursor itself blends in with the circles due to its color or because the cursor trail has a small width for me especially. Also, apologies if my English isn't the best.

i think an instafade ooption would be very useful as a toggle in the settings that complely hides assets after they have been clicked would go a long way to make any skin instafade and add an other reason to switch to lazer :)

I've already been playing lazer for a minute, here's some nice additions I think most people would like to see: Nightcore/Daycore should have a pitch adjustment toggle setting (i.e. if NC is played on 1.2x, the pitch is adjusted accordingly instead of adjusting the pitch for 1.5x but only increasing the speed for 1.2x, it makes the audio sound extremely distorted and low quality unless the pitch and rate changes match) For Nightcore another toggle for the additional metronome hitsounds would be nice instead of having to change skins to disable them on maps with many red ticks Classic mod's "Always play a slider's tail sample" should just be in the options menu and not a mod Hidden should have a "Classic Hidden" toggle where only combo numbers of sliders disappear (1.00x difficulty multiplier) When applying any speed adjusting mods, stats like AR and OD should appear similar to Star Rating, addended with a green, yellow, orange and/or red bar along with text identifying the exact stats If Difficulty Adjust is left on and uses the map's same stats, score should not be affected and DA should not appear on the replay For balance, Difficulty Adjust should incrementally decrease score for every stat adjusted (i.e. CS=3 is 0.5x, CS=3 AR=10 is 0.25x, CS=3 AR=10 HP=0 is 0.125x and so on...). Either this or remove HP from DA and just make players use DA with NF instead because EZ is pointless with DA A nice QoL toggle for Mirror could be "toggle on retry" for reducing mindblock or monotony, or just for practice Another QoL along with mod presets would be either be a quick menu for all the mods an individual might use (i.e. I'm not really going to use HT or FL much but I would like to customize so DA, CL and MR were front and center when the menu is opened) or allow binding every mod to any key so someone could bind in the menu QWER to HD, NC, CL and MR for example Not a suggestion but just insight, I'm assuming DT will either be 1.2x score (at 1.5x speed) or 1x score (any other speed). A nice feature would be to incentivize a "soft-DT" at 1.33x speed (1.1x score) or 1.2x speed (1.06x score) as these at AR9 are AR10 and AR9.67 (AR8 + DT) respectively

I have some feedback about the Argon Pro skin. The non-transparent sliders are kinds jarring and actually make it really really difficult to see a hitcircle hidden under the end of a slider. The effect is greatly emphasized when the circle is perfectly under there, rather than sticking slightly out. I would like for the sliders to be much more translucent so the circles can be much more visible. Also the skin distracts a lot with elements becoming large and small all the time, or at least it feels like that. It makes it a bit of a challenge to use it on very fast maps. For now, I'll be sticking with a custom skin

I haven't tried the skin myself yet but I'd like to suggest a possible solution (for the devs), maybe instead of just, making them more translucent, you could add a slider in the options or skin editor to allow the player to choose how translucent they'd want it.

the current state of lazer makes a very good case for trying out the new mania skins, because mania skin imports just flat out do not work whatsoever

to elaborate, the key disruptive things are - the combo put itself in the corner rather than the center - a long white bar just appeared out of nowhere, from some unholy mangling of a centered accuracy counter - the health bar is placed like a osu!standard bar rather than on the right of the playfield and the skin editor lacks key features such as - an undo button - snap to grid of any kind
