Gosh! Chill although high intake of added sugar and refined carbs in the long term are defo not great for you. Eating them as an one off experiment most certainly won’t ruin your health either

Do you know We use multiple xray to do colonic transit study which involves radiation. This is much safer option. I used to advocate sweetcorn challenge test but blue colour is more visible. I am a gastroenterologist and see no issue with one blue muffin

I’m confused! Wouldn’t you start the clock when you finished eating the corn, not when it first appears in your stool? Then average eat to first evidence and eat to last evidence of the corn?

The proper way to conduct a stool transit time is to track the time eaten to the last time you see the food in the stool.

looking at lt from an engineering standpoint the digestive system is a plug flow reactor and there will be a distribution of residence times but we don’t expel often enough to measure that distribution

The overall take away is highlighting the ingredients in the muffin that many individuals are consuming on a daily basis creating increased gut issues. Does one blue muffin wreck a gut? No.
