Dear John and Hank, please excuse my errors of many kinds in this letter-thing. You guys are my favorite people on internet probably ever. Other than my family. Thank you so much for doing all you do! You both should know that I am like super sick and I kinda really feel like crap. Both of you should also know that I have binge watched a lot of your many, many videos. John, most of your videos that I have been watching have been speeches and then I am just watching all of hanks happy videos because he has so much happy energy that he has slowly morphed into a virus that spreads energy of awesome. That is the subtle difference between both of you. At least in my eyes. One spreads pure energy and the other is kinda like a chill hope energy. Neither one is better than the other because the are both out to do a certain kind of inspiration. The pure energy rubs off and makes you just buzz with preppy happy amazing love for where you stand in the world and the other just makes you feel better always. I used to think when I was little and was scared of the dark that, "Hey, it will be okay. The worst thing that could happen is that I die. Even if I were to die then look where I would be. I would have peace." That, in a slightly less dramatic sense, is John. John, you make everything kinda okay. all that can exist has some hope and bliss. Like when you think of the beautiful world that you live in and how perfectly beautiful it is. Anyway, you guys make me feel less sick and gross and make me kinda sick happy. Thank you so much for that. -Brooklyn McAwesome A.K.A. emo nemo. P.s. my name really isn't Awesome but i figured I shouldn't add my name to the internet too much because of reasons.

Why on Earth would he be when another John Green wrote fricking "Teen Boat"? I like this John and all but c'mon, he hasn't quite accomplished anything on the level of Teen Boat

I am from Ireland so it's pretty cool to see another Irish person who influenced the world in such an awesome way! On a side note though, and I don't know if this is an Irish thing, a worldwide thing or a just me thing, but as someone who has always wanted the type of career that tends to make people stand out (writing, acting, music), the population of the world has always intimidated me. How can anyone do anything noteworthy when being engulfed in literally billions of other people also trying to noteworthy things? When has an ant on a molehill ever stood out from the other ants? But this video gives me hope in two ways - a) you pointing out Katie Else reminds me that even people from a little green island can do stuff and be noticed by someone like you. Also, you guys have a habit of noticing small creators and bringing them to the attention of a larger audience, so even getting a few people to notice is enough, because if one of those few brings another few in, it keeps growing and that's all you need. B) if there are that many successful, noteworthy John Greens, surely one Sophie McNamara has a chance! So in conclusion, thanks for reminding me to keep trying and here's to all the John Greens!

The answer is literally right there in The Fault in Our Stars. Not even an author knows what happens after the last page, because it hasn't happened. And there's nothing to know about a story that hasn't happened.

This summer, I was invited to do an author visit at a kids' book club camp in NYC. I had a major nerd moment when I was filling out a scheduling Doodle for the program online and looked at the other authors in the lineup and saw "John Green." I basically went around shrieking I WAS IN THE SAME DOODLE AS JOHN GREEN to anyone who would listen. (Okay, I told my partner and a few other friends. But I was still very excited. I've been a Nerdfighter since I was in high school.) It wasn't until I got to the camp that I found out that THIS John Green was, in fact, TeenBoat John Green. I admit to being a tad disappointed, though of course I have nothing but respect for TeenBoat John Green.

_The Net_ is one of my all-time favorite movies. Not only is it wonderfully shot in a sort-of Nineties-Noir aesthetic, but it’s a very interesting look at the meaning of identity and individuality when so much of our lives is basically incidental data on computers. That, and Sandra Bullock is great in it!

My friend, You look tired. I hope you are doing well and I'm glad you've reflected upon that ungodly schedule of yours, and finally offered yourself some solace. (Via 3 weeks of vacation time.) I know things aren't always easy for you, and the way you continually devote your heart and soul to people you've never met is a continual inspiration. We love you John, don't forget... to take some time for yourself once in a while.

When I first discovered Crash Course, I was working for a familiar chain retailer right around the time The Fault in our Stars was moving around numerous displays. I liked Crash Course so much it was the first thing to get me pledging on Patreon. As I was watching the magical machine that Crash Course is, I was like, "This is so brilliant. Who is this amazing John Green guy? The only John Green I've heard of is the jerk that wrote all those Fault in our Stars books everywhere we have to move 3x a week." Moral of the story is that I learned a big lesson about not judging people by their book covers, or something like that.
