How close should a regular sized drone be for you to perceive it as a car sized drone? Now you should understand why categorically saying they are small is nonsense. Smarten up, son.

that last part is so particularly true for the effect religion can also have on curiosity. if the blank can be filled in with "aliens" or "god" the pursuit of knowledge just ends there and the question is never solved. we have progressed as a species scientifically because some individuals have reconciled with themselves that "I don't know" is a starting point for curiosity and not an empty space to be sealed up with supposition

Thinking in voice is not efficient. Compare it to kindergartners sounding out each letter to just reading the word. It’s also not efficient for writing, because your inner voice doesn’t need to talk in complete sentences and I have several “voices” (the non main voice is even quieter and more fragmented) and the words want to come out parallel to each other (how I think) instead of single file. And I know this because my mind is much quieter on meds so I have something to contrast it to. (I also have a type of aphantasia. I can only think in pictures when I’m half asleep 😢)

The governor posting a photo of stars reminds me of the time my cousin and I (both fully grown adults) spent a very long time watching a light move on the horizon, trying to figure out if it was an airplane or something else. We eventually (i.e. about fifteen minutes later) realized it was a very stationary star, and the tree we were using to gauge its movement was swaying in the wind.

I feel like you're ascribing the onus of this decision of google to the 'people' who work at google, but I feel like it's important to note that google is a corporation, with shareholders, and at the end of the day their objective is to make money. When you realize that AI is an extremely lucrative and new domain to expand into, it goes without saying that google or any media corporation will do whatever they can do to make a better and better AI model, and therefore make more money off of it. You could have the pope as the CEO of youtube or google, and that wouldn't change the fact that they have obligations to their shareholders to make big money. This is the sort of an issue where google will exploit until the Court says they cannot exploit anymore; to google, it is not a question of what is morally right.
I have an inner monologue AND aphantasia. I simply cannot See images but when I think to myself or just have thoughts, they are words and sounds. I could listen to an entire music album, picking out individual instruments if I wanted, but I'll never see the band play in my mind.

I very much have an internal monologue, but I feel it in layers. There is the stream of words that are the most deliberate, which run at the speed of speech. Then there's the more subconscious thoughts which run much quicker ~ like, at the speed of thought, I guess? And then there are even deeper thoughts which may flash a clump of words at me *or* just feel like ideas with no words. These latter thoughts, plus emotions, can be hard for me to put into words, since they don't come clearly attached to words. But, I can then mull them over in my deliberate thought area and try out words and phrases to describe them.

One thing you haven't considered is that most people actually _have_ seen drones before and can accurately estimate their size, even when very high or far away in the sky ( you know, because they've seen them in the sky and up close). Every single day, people see planes, balloons and birds and can accurately gauge their size. It's not crazy to imagine people can accurately gauge the size of other things.

99% of what your seeing is drones, weird light phenomenon, or new prototype military fighters and drones being tested at night. The 1% ACTUALLY are alien drones the white orbs if they move like their in a vacuum and don't vanish upon hitting a surface like a ball lightening congratulations you've genuinely seen an orb alien they're peaceful and chill and willing to talk if your calm enough.

I recall more of my "thoughts" as a child being pictures that represented words, as I got older the internal monologue has become a mixture of both Visual pictures and GIFs and "audio".

There are drone detection apps. You can download any one of several. The FAA recently made it legal for drone operators to fly at night with special lighting and special permission. It’s ok to be concerned, what’s not ok is all the bad information, conspiracies, and lack of common sense concerning this issue. It would be nice for an agency to share information with the public. The problem would be getting people to believe it’s nothing unusual. It seems people want something crazy to be true.

My inner monolouge is a continuous running line of words that i try to keep track of but it also branches out into like 5 to 7 different, connected but distinct topics All while a song plays on loop and random quotes that pop up and repeat every so often Sometimes i can have a visual representation of words and other times is audio. Sometimes both at once. Whenever i choose i can conjure the most beautiful or intricate images in my head, unless those images require a persons face, though if it's a grotesque creatures face then that is not an issue. A lot of times it's like watching a movie in my head sometimes while all the aforementioned stuff is also happening. From the moment i wake up to the moment i pass out it's a million thoughts all at once that run and loop and bump into each other. Needless to say trying to understand your experience is incomprehensible to me and i envy the silence of your mind.

I do agree with almost all of this, but just like when you capture the moon on camera, and it’s tiny, phone pics and videos don’t do the drones justice. They really are just cruising right above us here in nj.

How many adults have never seen a satellite before, but any given night at the beginning of the night, you can point out tons. Once you know they’re there, they’re impossible to miss. It’s easy to feel like it’s a coincidence you see more, but it’s not.

I am going to stick with the people on the ground and what they say they see. There are SO MANY DETAILS left out on this video. In addition, the video does not take into account for what our politicians have to say about these “drones”. Cool video, but for me it feels like a certain narrative is trying to be pushed onto me.

AS a mexican I'm afraid af of the war talk. Mexicans already work hard and have to deal with the consequences of being the gun backyard of US. People need to stop seeing us as a yellow landscape where tacos grow out of trees. I'm afraid if people of the United States don't shift their landscape and counteract the Trump and conservative policies, we are all going to be pushed into our deaths in a new hitlerian war, which is going to permanently change the world for worst. Children of Men/Ready Player One type of dystopia.

Having million homes built for $300-1mil each arent going to fix homelessness. Low salaries are the issues. Only the rich can get homes. People in rundown homes selling them go for $200-500k but bought it decades ago for $10k-100k.
