when I was in fifth grade I changed schools (and I had super bad anxiety issues back then), halfway through my very first day I had a panic attack and was crying hysterically on the hallway floor and hyperventilating and I met my four best friends that day because they came out of class, when they didn't even know me, when our teacher said they would get detention if they came out to see me, because she thought I was just being a drama queen, to see if I was okay, and make me feel better!

When I was in fifth grade, we got to make a community garden in our elementary school and I was picked to help! We also did a musical, Annie, and I got the hardest solo and i was one of the orphan girls. We also got to go see a performance called Barnem, and it was like a mini-broadway! There was all these other cool things we did too!

In fifth grade, we had recorders that we got to keep too! The first song we learned was hot cross buns. Also, I auditioned to sing and the music teacher would walk around and listen to our voices. I wasn't singing very loud and was shy, so i didn't get the part.

In fifth grade, we went camping not actually but..we slept in a cabin too but like we didn't have any electricity or anything, so I never got to sleep in a tent before. YOU'RE SO LUCKY!!

I learned how to play the recorder when I was in 5th grade, too, but the first song we learned to play was called "Starburst". (We thought we were cool, too haha) For our graduation, each class had a valedictorian, except for one, which had two, because the principal's son was in that class. I was so mad because I should've been co-valedictorian for my class, since my GPA was higher than his. Fifth grade was okay for me, I guess :)

Your 5th grade is so similar to mine.. I wasn't in 5th grade when some of the things happened, but still. I got my chihuahua when I was 6 years old and I have a similar story.. She came to me as soon as she was let out of the thing and I knew she was mine. Also, I had the same teacher for 3rd and 5th grade as well. I also remember Titanic being on 2 VHS tapes. Strange coincidences, lol.
