Season 1 Dealt with Otis and his feelings for Maeve. Season 2 deals with Maeve and her feelings for Otis. Both seasons have an ending where the other is blocked from confessing their feelings in the end. I believe season 3 will be the culmination of their story since we’ve seen them go through the same type of journey through both seasons. At least I hope 😂

I really like how they have portrayed their story so far. I'm just hoping the writers don't continue to throw obstacle after obstacle in their way cos that can grow pretty tiring after a while. Although from the looks of it it hasn't discouraged people from rooting for them. They have got to be one of the most popular ships on television right now. I see very few people that don't want them together. I just hope season 3 gives us some hope! They deserve to be together and Maeve, in particular, is overdue for some happiness and love in her life. I'm guessing this is the first time both of these characters has been in love so I think that will be interesting to explore. I just really wish that they had waited on Otis losing his virginity. i really wanted it to be with Maeve. Does his first time actually count though considering he can't even remember it :D. Anyway at this stage I would just settle for a declaration of love and a first kiss in season 3 but trying not to get my hopes up too high.

don't get your hopes up...It seems like season 3 is going to suck, especially for the Otis/Maeve shippers, and Maeve fans... I hope I'm wrong. A lot of fans are already pissed about the characters description for season 3, and about something that one of the writers said about Otis/Maeve.

@@zeromotivation3232 Yeah I read some stuff and I'm not too crazy about what I did read. But they didn't build Maeve/Otis up for 2 seasons to forget about them completely. So they might not get together in season 3 either. Yes It's frustrating but the writers know they are on to a good thing with them so they would be crazy to just drop their story completely (think of all the viewers they would lose LOL) They will drag this out but I'm pretty sure it will happen at some stage. Otherwise what was the point of building them up in the first place??? Otis and Maeve are probably the most popular ship on the show. The writers would be crazy to ignore that. It will come but we are in for a wait I reckon. Also i don't care who Otis is with/sleeping with in season 3, for me it will always come back to that declaration of love. Maeve is the one he is in love with and has been pretty much since the start and that won't be forgotten either. also there is no way Isaac deleting that voicemail is not going to be discovered by someone in season 3 - cue lots of drama and perhaps some hope! As for it potentially sucking I will reserve judgement until I have actually seen it all. Season 2 had parts for Maeve and Otis (second half mostly) that I didn't like so I am sure season 3 will be the same. But I do actually like the writing for them (despite the pain they put them through) so I'll see where they are at the end of season 3 and then decide what to make of it all. Spoilers are quite vague and a lot can happen in 8 episodes so I'm sure there will be lots of stuff in there we don't know about too! Also is the thing the writer said that they were too young to know who they want to be with or to find "the one" or something like that (I'm paraphrasing here) cos that made me roll my eyes so hard HAHA. Why say they this about Otis and Maeve but not some of the other couples on the show. As I said the writers know they have struck gold with them and will keep them apart as long as possible but I'm convinced it will happen. I think we will get some progress by the end of season 3 but 4 will be their season :)

I think within the first couple of episodes of season 3 otis will talk to maeve and she’ll find out about the voicemail making her think Isaac is a dickhead then Otis will most likely say it to her in person and keep the viewers at bay because most viewers want maeve and Otis together one of the viewers being my self wanting them together so about the ending when it was emotional I think they did that to get us emotional then when season 3 comes out it’ll make us happy because Otis and Maeve will probably be together I hope. It's taken me 6 months to realise how easy it is for them to make stuff right. All they have to do is have a fight or something, Otis tells Maeve about the message and they find out Isaac deleted it. All they then have to do is kill Isaac, realise they still love eachother and get together. Plus Netflix would lose millions of viewers and the writers would get so much hate if we still didn't get a kiss even. Just decided to come back here after re watching the series and thinking about what happened. Edit: If they aren't together it will be my last time ever bothering about that show. We have waited long enough, all that needs to be done is just putting Maeve and Otis together after we have seen all the other Charactors stories in S2. S3 better be about Otis and Maeve or we riot.

Agreed, I honestly think they will fight or confront eachother. I think Otis will tell Eric that he left Maeve a voicemail claiming his love for her, and as she obviously doesn't know about it, she doesn't respond so Eric goes and talks to her. Maeve gets confused asks Otis and they both figure out that Isaac deleted it.

Thank´s for probably the best shortcut of Maeve & Otis lovestory. The end is typical, Netflix needs keep all fans in tension (when bigger - the better) But sometimes less means more...... Season 3 shout be the last (of course with grand final including Otis and Maeve postponed kiss) Doesn ´t matter how much we ´ll miss them. We have to know only one thing. They are happy and finally together as a couple.

This is another theory. What if the guy that takes care of Isaac hears Isaac delete the message and stuff, then threatens Isaac to tell Maeve or he will do it himself, which could take a couple of episodes for Isaac to build courage. In the meantime we could see Ruby and Otis date for a short period of time and Isaac dating Maeve even though I hope to god that doesn't happen. Then finally he tells Maeve, Maeve kicks his crippled ass off a cliff and Otis and Maeve get together after they realise they love each other

That has elements that could happen. I don't think Otis and Ruby would date now though as Otis literally just dropped the l bomb onto Maeve. But it'd be cool to see Isaac pushed over a cliff.

just a quick empathy here , I would do the same thing Isaac did if I were in his situation , even if it means being a dick . Life hasn't been easier for him either , and he needs to play dirty in order to equalize circumstanses with his rivals . True that the actor has done an amazing job. However, all we know so far about Isaac's intentions towards Maeve is from fan theories. Yes he could be looking to get with her. Yes he might not be. I personally think that he's just looking out for her. But honestly, if he is, he shoulda told Maeve about the call instead of deleting it. Even if he were wanting to get with her, its a stupid move considering Maeve will find out about it eventually, changing her opinion of Isaac down after discovering that he didnt give Maeve a chance to hear it.

I wonder what kind of fallout when she eventually finds out the message Otis left for her got mysteriously deleted. At some point In the beginning of season 3 otis will probably ask her what she thought of his message. You dont leave someone a voicemail then never ask them about it after some time passes. It's either you didnt care to hear what i said or didnt hear lol. I think it was unnecessary to have isaac delete the message.

I think it was quite necessary to be completely honest. As I feel like it might be the way for Maeve to stop being "disappointed" with Otis.

Yeah plus deleting the voicemail cements Isaac as a villain and also goes well with his kind of manipulative nature. The audience is supposed to actively dislike Isaac for a few reasons. He manipulates situations to make himself look good, he effectively pulls Maeve into a bubble that he controls (the trailer park), and he's just kinda smug too which isn't a likeable quality. Remember, Maeve wants to eventually LEAVE the trailer park, while Isaac would likely want to keep her there, as to keep her within his sphere of influence. I have a feeling this will be a key part of season 3 in some way. Sorry for the book
