Sitting on the Dock of the Bay is one of the first songs I remember hearing on the radio. One of my earliest childhood memories. I didn’t know the story behind the plane crash, thank you for sharing.

I never knew that they crashed into Lake Monona. A popular boating lake on Madison Wisconsin’s South edge of town. One hour from my home. “Sitting on the Dock of the bay” sort of an ironic song as his last release. For years the song was my ring back tone. There have been so many famous musicians killed in planes or Helicopters in America. I guess if you fly almost daily the law of averages increases against you.

There was hersay that james brown warned otis about the particular plane model.. james was heard saying he got rid of his...So first rule is facen your seatbelt , I think more life's would've been saved if all those in the back seatbelt would've been loose. Otis and the polit where knocked unconscious, im sure the polit he could swim.
